My daughter gave her old Subaru to a cousin to help him out.
The only thing she did not like about it was that it had no cup holders.
The next time she went to visit she glanced into it.
The cup holder panel was extended from the dash.

The 1992 Subaru Impreza has hidden cup holders
under a panel that looks like it's part of the dash, directly below the fan controls.
To access the cup holders, gently pull out the panel

WOW. My Mom had a Rambler Station Wagon back in the day. Not sure the year but it was an early 60's. I also have the sales receipt of out '70 Mustang somewhere lol.

Keeps the “situational/opportunistic” thieves at bay. Real thieves will get whatever they want, period.
This exactly.
The real thief is just going to take the whole truck.

Holy shit! I've had my Galdiator for 4 years and had no idea. Was just thinking, now that it's spring, how stupid it is that the center console doesn't lock. Turns out, I'm not very observant.
In your defense, if you're as tall as me, it's not exactly easy to see from the drivers seat

And, at the risk of stating the obvious, everyone knows
that the center console has an upper and lower compartment
so you have a place to keep your pistol.

This is why I have separated my key from my key fob.
So I can hand off the fob to parking attendants and garage mechanics.

The Kel-Tec PF9 pictured may be the only 9mm and above that fits.
I loved the valet key that came with my VW. It would unlock the doors and ignition but not the glovebox or trunk.

Its especially important to have the tailgate locked when there is no tonneau cover on. :)
With the rate of tailgate theft and how expensive they are, it's good to keep locked.
I'm glad the Jeep has a little bracket that you have to unscrew to lift off the tailgate but that will just slow someone down by 30 seconds

I'm trying to fit this in mine. But I'm having a hard time with the mags.

When you open the lid, you are looking down at it.
When my arm is on the console lid while driving, I can feel the lock with my fingers - "what's that thing there? Gotta look when I get out - hey, a lock!"

Cries in trail rails but no locking storage
Not sure what you mean? It's in the package on jeep.com... did yours not have it?

(I see you have a 2021 build - maybe the dreaded supply chain shortages?)

I'm not sure but under the seat, mine has just the surround without a lid.
I didn't buy it new, but I have the window sticker and neither the under seat storage nor the trail rails are listed.
It does have the brake controller, a winch and a tonneau cover that were dealer installed. It's possible the rails were added by the dealer to mount the tonneau cover, I really don't know. I don't have paperwork for any of that.
I'd have to go out and look at the door sticker to see the manufacture date. I know it's a model year 2021, but it wasn't purchased originally until Sept 2022 so it's possible it's a later in the year build.

It's also possible that the options packages were different back then.

Do you have the outlet in the bed? Ordering the Trail Rail package from the factory gets the under seat storage with a lid and the 115 volt outlet in the bed. Those would be listed on the window sticker. The Trail Rails are an easy add-on and could have been done by the dealer or previous owner.

He can plug in his VIN and get the answers on a built sheet.
