So my wife wanted to go get dirt and plants today and asked to use the Gladiator. Cool, that’s why we bought it.
Fast Forward I get home and she is upset. She got to the store and when she was reaching to grab something out of the passenger seat she dropped the keys. Evidently it hit and slid under the center console. Neither of us can get our hands in there so now I guess the next option is to remove the center console. WTF did Jeep leave a gap there knowing how horrible it is to drop anything between the seats on a Jeep

I kick myself because I meant to look for the between the seats filler panel like I have on my JK but didn’t.

Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone have any suggestions? What sucks is since the key is in the car anyone could hop in and go, and we both commute to work so I’m at a loss what to do.
Thanks in advance!

There's been a few posts of lost items in the center. I've lost a CC down the parking break slot more times than I'd like to admit. . It's decently easy to get to.

1. On the front of the console on both sides, there is a covered bolt where it meets the dash. Loosen these about half out.
2. In the rear there are two covered bolts on either side of the cup holders. Remove these.
3. This then allows you to GENTLY pivot the back/cupholders up high enough to get (most sized) arms in to reach and feel around. One time I did this I had to use phone video recording with flash on and stuck up in there to get a glimpse of what side it was on.

I was cleaning my glasses and one of my lenses popped out!
It went between the drivers seat and the console.
I looked everywhere for it and I realized it was in the console.
i had to remove one of the seats to retrieve the lens.
I purchased a pair of “seat gap fillers” because I really don’t care to perform that task again, it was a real strain on my vocabulary!
I think my dog learned a few new words.

Yeah definitely a learning experience. I unfastened the back bolts and loosened the front ones like @Undecided recommended. I picked up the back and my son used a magnet reach tool to snag it. It went all the way to the front of the dang console. I had some backer rod so I stuffed it around the opening so it doesn’t happen again… hopefully 🤣

glad you got it out! I've not had anything go that far forward on me. Yet.

I want to say thanks. Boy are these effective and blend right in. Considering there is an Eisenhower Silver Dollar somewhere under my console 🙄, the $20 is doable. I'm gonna leave that Silver Dollar under there as a "find" for someone who removes the console someday. 🇺🇸 Cheers
