Does anyone know of a computer update to accomodate a pedal commander for a 24 Gladiator Mojave?

Did something change with the Pedal Commander?
When I had one on my 2016 GMC Canyon… it was plug & play.
You didn’t have to do anything with the computer.

Please explain … did you install one and….What happened?

Yes it's plug and play. I installed one previously on my Ram and loved it. So I decided the easiest way to get more power out of the Gladiator was to install one also. However recently, my Gladiator went dead at the pedal and all the warning lights came on. The aux battery is bypassed so that's not the issue. According to other Gladiator owners I've spoken with, they concur its the pedal commander. Now really Its no big deal since it's an easy fix. Just stop and restart.

Connector issue? Have a close look at the pins. Have a can of DeoxIT D5 handy and spray the pins and mating connector. It lubes the pins and enhances connectivity.

Pedal Commander sucks power from the power feed to the throttle. If the feed can't provide enough current for the pedal and the device, it will create problems. I had a device like that on my Ram once and it threw codes and the throttle would go dead. I took it off. Dangerous.

Easiest way to find out if it is the problem is to remove it.

If you want the enhanced throttle response, the Banks Pedal Monster gets its power from the OBD port. You can find used ones on eBay for considerably less than the new price.

Counterpoint: I have had 9 pedal commanders in various vehicles: Ram 1500, 2 Wranglers, 3 Grand Cherokees, TRX, Gladiator and my Corvette with zero issues. My wife and myself won't drive without one, even in performance vehicles like the TRX and Corvette it is an improvement. My buddy has one in his F150 and Camaro per my recommendation. I have seen the Banks Youtube video about how scary the Pedal Commander is but I have yet to have any issues and until I do I will stick with what I know. Not saying errors can't happen, just saying not in my experience.

To OP: I have had zero issues with my 2020 Gladiator in the 2.5 years it has been on it, could be a connection issue at the pedal though though? Did you reach out to Pedal Commander? From what I am seeing online it looks like there is no difference in the Pedal Commander unit I would get for mine than what you would get for yours, the listing is 2020+ on their website. They stress not make changes on the unit while pressing the gas pedal because it will cause the unit to have errors. I believe doing that and following their install procedure are the reasons we haven't had any issues in 10+ years. Please update us here on what you figure out!
