Tire help please !

Any advice would be appreciated. I’ve got a 21 rubicon gladiator max tow with 17 inch stick rims (may be original tires also)

I’m trying to get 37’s on but I don’t have the extra cash for a lift kit currently. I might be able to pony up enough to get a spacer kit installed, but that’s only a possibility.


I’d rather buy the tires and put them on (I won’t be going off-road until a lift is installed, so I just need them to not rub under normal street conditions) now than buy 33s or 35’s knowing I’ll want 37’s eventually. Not sure waiting is an option either because my current tires are pretty worn out.

Spacers area fine, just get a good hub centric set. I ran 37x12.50x17's with a 1x1.250 spacer with no issues, and stock willys wheels.

Spacer lift will allow you to run 37's typically you will need rims . Unless you choose a narrow tire. If you choose a 12.50 or 13.00 wide tire you will either have to use wheel spacers or rims with proper bump out to allow it not to rub the sway bars or fender wells.

Having never really looked into wheel spacers what am I looking for in terms of features / material / price / manufacturer ?

I ran the Synergy 1.75" wheel spacers with the stock Rubi rims and 37x12.5 MT's until I could get the rims I wanted.
