Just used the tire jack for the first time. After carefully removing it, and making a mental note on how it was secured, I cannot, for the life of me, come up with a solution to prevent rattling. This should not be rocket science, but it’s as if the scissors portion rattles internally. At this point, I am thinking to just pull everything out and wrap the individual pieces in shop rags.

Does anyone have a technique to resecure the Jack so it does not rattle?

Duh!!! Of course! I was only focusing on getting it tight against the mounting location. Thank you. Lance : )

You can also run a rag through the center of the jack and clamp it closed on the rag; I've done this with previous vehicles, but just clamping this jack closed seems to work.

Honestly, scissor jacks suck. I got a Toyota bottle jack to carry in addition, one from a Tundra, Land Cruiser, or Sequoia has two lifting sections and will easily pick up a lifted Gladiator on 37"s.

Retired. Beach bum.
Close the jack entirely, then place it back in the mount and try to expand it within the storage mount, that will tighten it up and stop rattling.
