Tires definitely change the appearance of your vehicle. They can also change ride comfort, performance and handling. Since mine is a daily driver, opted to stayI stayed with stock size (Overland - Goodyear Wrangler ATA 255-70/R18) but added 2" wheel spacers for some "poke". 65k miles later I'm pleased to still be getting +21 mpg and a comfortable ride.

When did they go to 18s on a Sport S? I went to the Rubicon take off tires but they were 17s on my Gladiator but it's a 21

Without knowing what gearing you have, 3.73 or 4.10 (Max tow) I would go no bigger than 33".

Well I will say from experience don't go any heavier than a D rated tires will ride too rough. A C is better. But D if you want a little softness but yet a little toughness

If you're not married to the wheels and you're shooting for 32/33" tires, you'd probably be able to get a set of low mile 17" wheels+tires+tpms Gladiator or Wrangler Rubicon take-offs for less than new tires+install/balancing/tire disposal would cost you, and you could sell your wheels/tires to some poor soul with Gladiator Sport steelies to further offset the cost.

If you want a good tire recommendation, I put General Grabber A/TX on my 2dr Wrangler, they have an aggressive shoulder, so they look more meaty, but they drive fantastic on the road.
