12k is not 50% of 32k. But if your math makes you feel good about your transaction have at it, if you want to get technical you sold your Subaru for 37.5% of what you paid. You would need another 4k on the sales price to get 50%.I sold my Subaru for over 50% what I paid brand new. It was 10 years old and had 140,000 miles on it. Paid 32,000 sold it for 12,000.
I agree it held it's value.
