Tonneau Covers and Bed Racks

It really depends on how much the cover goes over the bed rails. Have they released any photos?

On other trucks it looks like extremely minimal overlap over the sides:

The only picture they have of the new Gladiator version looks like it might have a hair more overlap of the sides...

It looks like on other model vehicles some people have found ways to mount racks around them:

It's really tough to tell from the photos whether it will work with any bed racks, it's just that the overlap looks narrow enough that it MIGHT....

Did anybody confirm if any retractable bed cover fits with the JCR bed rack? Just ordered the half rack and wanting retractable cover to go with it

Maximus-3.com has a nice bed rack. I helped a friend install it with the factory hard tri fold cover.

There are 2 bolts holding the top to the side rails. Once those are removed the top comes off.

The 2 side rails where removed next. There are 2 fasteners at the cab end and 2 at the tailgate end for each rail.

Once those 3 items are removed, the sports bar gets installed.

To reinstall the side rails, some trimming is necessary. The sports bar is pushing the side rail out about 1/8in and the trimming will help reduce the push.

This shows the front top cut that was needed.

The back needed a similar cut.

The rear fastners have a spacer between the side rails and the bed. Those spacers need to be removed as the added hardware from the sportsbar is already pushing the side rails out. With the spacers removed the fit is perfect.
