I second Wiley Coyote. That is what i did to my JT early November.
Hey, at least you missed the SmartCap! That's like half a dozen tailgate replacements. :)

The estimate I got was $1500 to repair this, and the taillight can be saved. The gladiator isn't my DD anymore and it now just does trail duty and towing duty. But I don't want to leave this. I'm not sure if anyone has dealt with this before...

Fix for $1500? Leave it? Pull the dent and bedline the bed? Replace the bed for $10k with Rebel Offroad?
That sucks. Sorry it happened. Sounds like you’re handling it well.

And I’d fix it if it were mine. I should clarify. I don’t have the skills to do body work myself. But I’m going to try to learn.

I'd be totally surprised to get that repaired for $1500.00 especially in CA. In AL it would be substantially higher than that. The first scratch or dent is the hardest. I can remember the first on my MJ, XJ, LJ, and scratches on JT. The scratches and first dent on my LJ was from meeting up with a bunch of deer on the road. Along with several tires. My guardian angel(s) were working overtime that night. Dents on XJ were from off-roading dragging roof against bank and rocks of tight trail. Comanche from some jackass dropping a M2 cal 50 barrel in bed.

Twins! I hit the wall at the very end of the Kane Creek Trail in Moab during Easter jeep safari climbing over a recent rockslide. I was going to go for a bobbed bed but instead let the body shop repair it. They pulled the dent out and got a new plastic top and went with your flush taillights vs back with stock LEDs. Glad I got repaired.

I know someone that hit the same spot on Kane in September. I’m pretty sure he blames me for it, which is unfortunate.

The red rock 4 wheeler guys said they were going to come out and remove it with dynamite after Easter jeep safari was over. It was literally at the end of the curve past hamburger hlll. It was a real tight spot and it sucked but I got over it. I

I didn’t think it was horrible actually. I went over the same spot twice this year. I think slow and staying away from the wall is the key. From what I heard, it’s been there about a year. Unless I’m misinformed.
