Mine is in the shop right now with dents smaller than that. Had a chevy equinox open their rear driver door as I was driving past. Right in the center of the rear flare. Flare is sliced, liner ripped out, dents along the side and bent mounting points for the flare. My rear dent is just forward of yours. They are at 2400 right now. Plan is to reskin the bedside. Insurances AI didn't account for the inner liner, or any clips on the flare along with a lot of other items. They said 1300. If I had 10K I might look at a flatbed (see above post link) or replacing it with a bobbed bed. Oh, and my Oracle light also held up fine, just paint scuff. The chevy equinox on the other hand didn't fare well at all.

The estimate I got was $1500 to repair this, and the taillight can be saved. The gladiator isn't my DD anymore and it now just does trail duty and towing duty. But I don't want to leave this. I'm not sure if anyone has dealt with this before...

Fix for $1500? Leave it? Pull the dent and bedline the bed? Replace the bed for $10k with Rebel Offroad?
I would keep it as a war wound! As long as everything still works, I’d use any money I have for something different, or an upgrade, but definitely not to fix body damage on something that you’re gonna take off road. I love all the bumps and nicks that my jeep is getting. But that’s just me. Love the color too!

Pull the taillight, stick a bladder/balloon up there and inflate, see if you can pop it out (heat it up to make it easier). Sand it a little and put a sticker over it.

That's minor body damage.

Major body damage usually entails something not closing or something not turning.
This right here!

I'd work that dent myself and put the money in a savings account to go toward the 5.7 hemi conversion they are doing in Michigan, the little v6 we have is know for problems.

In California that would be 5k. I'd pay 1500 in a second.

I dinged by bed and fenders February 2024. I decided to leave the bed dent but replace the fenders. The new fenders have been in my basement for almost nine months, I am too lazy to install them.
I would leave the dent.

In my opinion, there's no good reason to pay $1500 to fix that damage on a truck that mostly sees trail use. The money really would be better spent on something else. Pretty sure you could pop most of that dent out yourself with a football and air pump, then spray with some colour match paint and clearcoat.
