I picked up my new camper today. 2021 Apex Ultra Lite 245BHS. 4578 dry weight. 578 tongue weight. Hooked it up with an Equalizer E4 WDH and a Curt Echo brake controller. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how the Mojave handled it. It was definitely no speed demon but I had no issues at all. I averaged 11.6 MPG towing through rolling hills. The truck felt totally in control and I had no issues with sway. Feel free to ask questions.

Be sure to weigh stuff as you load it. Even stuff like propane tanks should get weighed. You'll be surprised what stuff really weighs when you fill it up.

Nice camper, looks like you are set up pretty good with the WDH. The Mojave along with other Gladiators are a good tow platform for lower weight camper with the biggest short coming being power , but slow and easy does it. Most all campers I looked at the dry weight included full propane tanks but no water in any tank. Bunk house models rock for families. Enjoy!…..Jack
PS: get a set of Thorn mirror adaptors and Rampage mirrors, makes a huge difference for visibility. Thorn is a member here and a whole bunch of us bought his setup , he even improved the angle when we asked.

Yes I absolutely need tow mirrors. Thanks for the recommendation.

Towing report update: 03/12/23

I just finished the second leg of my trip to bring my new camper home. 400 miles of some large rolling hills. I could not get the average over 8.6 miles per gallon. I am hoping that summer gas will help with that. The Gladiator did great. No issues keeping the cruise at 65mph. I did notice that manually shifting made an improvement in MPG. ill post some photos below. Notice the altitude different. Had some huge hills to climb. Never had temps get even remotely high. The did adjust the equalizer WDH and it was even better than before. That thing is amazing. Overall this truck did great pulling my camper and I am very happy with how it performed.
