looking at the tire size 225/55R18 I don't think Jeep has much to worry about. Maybe a competitor to a Subaru

If Toyota gave us the foreign versions of solid axle vehicles, I would be full Toyota but it’s a money game with insurance regulations and crunchable vehicles here in the US.
I worked for both Jeep and Toyota and have seen the quality difference and Toyota beats Jeep every time in foreign markets.
I dream about a solid front axle 4-door truck with little to no assistance from electronics and Toyota is really the only one that comes close. Just not here in the US.

The safari rig on our recent trip to South Africa was built on this platform. Fantastic vehicle. No complaints.

This is supposed to be the "off roady" twin to the Toyota C-HR. But I dunno how it's supposed to have much utility or off road use when it's this small.

Toyota has released a teaser of the new FT-4X concept that it is going to debut next month in New York Auto Show. While we only have a look at its rugged wheel, right now we can only speculate that it's a new SUV/ truck concept.

"FT" stands for "Future Toyota" and "4X" basically implies that it has 4-wheel drive. So what could it be? With Ford bringing a new Bronco back and a new Jeep Wrangler coming soon, maybe Toyota may be looking a new more rugged SUV rival.

The FT-4X will debut on April 12.

If you want to compete with a Jeep Wrangler then build a vehicle like a Jeep Wrangler. First the top is not removable and does not come in a convertible model. I won't go into all the other things I see wrong this vehicle to compete with a Wrangler, so like many say, this a crossover vehicle and not competition for the Wrangler. The Bronco is close to competition, but all the problems getting the vehicle to market these days will take Ford forever to really see any competition for a second spot.
