Just had my Overland wheels/tires swapped out for Rubicon take-offs. Seller claimed TPMS was not included. Mechanic who did the swap said they were there…. Now I’m not getting a TPMS reading. Do I need to reset anything or assume that there is no TPMS since there is no reading?

They should just pick up if present. I did that on my JL Sahara with Rubicon takeoffs and they worked fine.

If the person told you they weren't there they probably removed the sensors off the stems. Either that or the wrong sensors are inside.

They were one piece..............

I bought a set of JT Rubicon take-off wheels and tires. The seller kept the sensors. I bought a set of genuine MOPAR sensors from Benny here on the forum.
Tire shop installed them and put the wheels/tires on my truck. As I backed out of their parking lot my truck showed the tire pressure properly.

I later sold those - and bought new tires for my truck. I used another sensor from Benny in a 5th Overland wheel I bought so I have 5 matching tires and wheels, sensors in all 5. When they are rotated it always picks up the proper tires.

In short, I put new sensors in the Rubicon wheels I got and when they were installed, they simply worked.

Mine were sensor and stem as a unit.

Depending when your jeep and the rubicon was built there was a change in the june manufacture date for wheel sensors.

That's a valid point, but he's got a 2020 NE Gladiator - assuming the Rubicon wheels are NEWER and have the later part number, you may be suggesting they are not backward compatible?

If you have a newer Rubicon but try older take-offs I can see that not working out.

Interesting.

If the take offs came off a build after the 1st week of June 2021, The TPMS sensors are not compatible with your 2020 model Gladiator.
