I paid $44k for my 2020, and paid 49k for the eco diesel. They gave me $38k for my 2020 With 50k. It was a sport S max tow.
I think about doing this often. Im just leery of the diminished towing/payload and how people have complained of it bottoming out.

I thought a lot of people said the diesel overheats too?

You were on your second 3.6l and the second one started knocking? What are the odds of that? The 3.6l is the reliable one vs the diesel. I hope your bad luck ran out with the 3.6ls.

Yes sir, really shitty odds. I can post videos if you like, it’s not normal. My thought is I didn’t get a new motor the second go, it was a rebuild. I hope the diesel is good also, but I put a 6 year / 100k bumper to bumper on this one for piece of mind.

I’m not doubting you. No need for video. Sorry if I came across that way.

I had the 3.6L in my JK and it was a mess. Replaced the cam, cam phaser, sensors, rear main seal leak, thermostat failed, oil filter housing cracked, and the crank position sensor went out. The crank position sensor was the most annoying since it didn't really throw the proper code. For the most part the jeep would operate normally until it would randomly just die and wouldn't restart until about 15 minutes later... Sometimes at 80mph on the interstate. Anyway, all of that was before 50k miles. It was mostly trouble free after that until 100k miles when I had to replace the timing chain.

With that experience I told myself that the diesel couldn't be as bad and I DID NOT want the 3.6L. So far 6k miles on the diesel and I'm having a blast.

They are off of a Jeep Sahara. I had them with a set of mounted 35’s as my spares, they look good to me. I kept stuff from my 2020 that I moved over to this one. You don’t realize how much money you’ve spent until you sell you’re old one. ?
I have the same Sahara wheels on my Gator Gladiator. I really like them - plus I got the set of 5 for $100.

Congrats on the upgrade. Dang, Those Sahara wheels look better on the JT than the JL!

I have gotten 420-440 miles per tank with my gas powered Gladiator. Of course, that was during summer months with the summer blend gasoline. I'm only getting around 360 miles per tank.

Ya, during summer my range estimate goes to 450mi. The diesel would never work for me because of my short commutes for work, and that's mostly where I drive. Or short commutes to get gas/store/weekly things. I don't want a diesel with DEF. I honestly want the turbo'd I6 PHEV.
