Just get both, no harm no foul. They both do the same thing in Moab, one just does it easier (spoiler alert, it ain’t the Wrangler).

Love it, I joined that club recently!
Took an extra 4 years but just added a 21 3.0-D glad with 16k miles (dont ask price, my heart bought it. My brain freaked out about 3 days later) to go with my from birth 21 rubi jlu 3.0 with all the options. (love the one touch!) I was buying a glad in 21 till I put that top back.

It all started in 2020 with a Bikini Blue JLU sport my wife says as we drive by our Dodge dealership..."nice Jeep". Boy, little did I know how this was going to turn out.

Had to give up my cj5&8 in 88 after wife got in a really bad car accident, she still couldnt even ride a block in them 2 years later.

So like many, my Retirement Vocation has a purpose... someday paying off 3 new Jeeps, lol! One down, 2 to go. Just added another 7 years.

I think my grandkids are taking dibs on which ones they get.

7 of us are making our first trip to Moab next week with the National Lady Jeepers Club. G-kids 12, 10, &8. We were suppose to make the trip 2 years ago, but 4 weeks before the trip the 21 Rubi Trans with 35k miles Exploded internally. And of course they couldnt get it repaired in time. At least they tried. I got free labor of an upgraded bumper "mostly installed" out of the deal. I still had to hook up by new lights and such.

Kudo's to the Ladies jeeper club, we only had to give $200 additional for the club trip this year. They carried the 2k+ we gave last time! They were even happy our pack of Jeeps had grown to 3 in the family. The Glad is going as the gear trailer tower, backup just in case one of her sisters gets a cold on the trip, and pull home rescue vehicle if needed.

(Told you I had no idea what that little gleem in her "eyes" ment. "Nice Jeep" she says!) OMG.

For 9 years [after I got back to the states for good after serving more than 8 straight years overseas] I waited for Jeep to come back with a Truck. And the only reason I was willing to wait is because they kept coming up with Concept Trucks so I knew sooner or later they would manufacture one for sale. I fell in love with the JT the second I saw it.

Had to wait until I saved up some money and then ordered my manual 2022 Mojave. It's my forever truck. I love the look and use the bed all the time. No way could I go to a JL after a JT.

Glad you stayed in the Jeep family. Congrats.

I miss having a Wrangler, but sadly I'm not sure I will ever own another one. I got my Mojave for $46K and thats about max that I want to pay for any vehicle. If I could get rid of my Gladiator without having to pay any of the negative equity then I would dump it. Buy an older Sequoia, 4 Runner, XJ or Xterra. I'm tired of car payments and I park outside in the desert so the upkeep is a beating.
That's what GAP insurance is for, right!

Gap insurance would only cover the negative equity in case of a catastrophic total vehicle loss that insurance does not cover and that is only payable to whatever financial institution is holding his bank note. It does him no good if he wants to trade out early and has negative equity he would have to cover out of pocket or kite into the next loan in possible.

That's why he would have to crash it first. I thought that was obvious. I was also obviously joking Mr Serious.

No, it read like you misunderstood what gap insurance was for.

It sounds like he had both before the divorce.

I got it. I definitely don't hate the truck just the payment and how much its depreciated. Not a big deal at the moment. The truck is not going anywhere unless they come up with another COVID and the values jump up.

I gave my son my JKUR, with 40k miles, for graduating mechanical engineering with a 4.0. He's still living at home saving for a house ... so that JK is still in my driveway. I had it just the way I wanted it ... I just need to find a similar balance for the JTRX.

They’re a little rougher, I’d imagine due to the shorter wheel base. I had a CJ-7 30 years ago that could shake your teeth out of your head
Back in the 70's a friend had a CJ 5 (maybe a '71?) with those big "desert dog" tires, we drove it up from Florida to Ohio no top, we were ready to quit before we made it to Georgia. We were young and stupid....talk about a rough loud ride...but boy I'd love to have that Jeep today....

I love the JLU's with the Extreme Recon package. Honestly if I didn't need a truck bed so bad (and the extra towing capacity), I would probably have a JLU exactly like the one you have. Every time I see one in the wild, I love it.

Enjoy it!

Been in love with Wranglers since I was a child (Jeep Wrangler not the cowboys - I'm not that kind of dude):CWL: JL, JK, JKU, JLU, TJ, YJ, CJ are all great, but I do love my JT as well, because I get the cargo space of the Wrangler and also bed space to load sh#t. Enjoy your Wrangler!!
