Stumbled on this accidentally. Dealer had to rebalance my 315/70R17’s and left me an Ram 1500 ECO Diesel for a day. Check out the trail rail system in this, looks very similar to the Gladiators maybe it’s worth a shot of being compatible for those that want extras until Jeep makes them avail.

No problem! It actually worked - I bought both style of Tacoma mounting brackets to try, but only the 2016+ works.
I had to modify the load spreaders as they were too thick to fit between the bracket and the trail rail (see bottom pic) and had to use some shorter bolts due to bedside contours, but it otherwise bolted on. I used the 2016+ tacoma mounting kit from thule.
