I understand, and I agree. I'm taking exception with the desire of others to breakdown and fully understand why it had to change by 1% or 2%.

However - that's just me. Everyone else's mileage may vary...
Yeah definitely, that's why I am paying $2000 more than most people here because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of driving and picking up the truck especially when I am in the middle of my move to another state. For me, the $2000 premium was acceptable. I am paying right between invoice and 1% below invoice for my LE...

To the extent of inferring, or suggesting that there is some shady business going on. I'm not too sure it's fair to vilify one of the first dealerships to attempt to assist this community. They took a gamble with us, were wrong, notified the community, but are still honoring what was sold at that initial rate, prior to the change. Yea, they're a business, trying to make money, just like any other. But this counts as professionalism in my book.
I'll pay extra for that.

i completely agree Ralph. Whatever his reasons, he's still giving us a helluva discount compared to our average local dealer. He's hooked up many of us, and now that he can't, oh well. Other dealers on here are saying the same thing, nobody knew this was happening. They're a for-profit business and are entitled to change prices when they need to. If the discount isn't enough to meet your needs, wait 2-5 months, maybe Affiliate comes back.

Yeah you and @ralphjjr are right. I'm also guilty of grumbling about the 2% loss. Of course I didn't think Travis was shady or anything, I already knew his reputation on the JL forums before I signed up here. I was just so focused on the 7% when I found out that I may not get it, I was disappointed. But as you have rightfully pointed, 5% is still a great deal and I still have yet to find any dealers in GA that offers anywhere near that. Travis dealership is only 1 state above me so unless I get a better deal closer, Travis will be my first contact.

I think we've all grumbled at a point or two. :swear::devil::angry:

Seems to be a lot of whining and complaining going on.

1. The dealership offered a great deal.

2. FCA decided the Gladiator would not be eligible for AP or EP.

3. This is no fault of the dealership.

4. The dealership is still honoring the previously agreed upon sales/deals.

5. The dealership has changed its deal moving forward.

This is all 100% understandable, straight forward, and good business.

What is the problem?

I think most of us in here did not blame Travis for the situation. I even thought it was great he was honoring previous placed orders under whatever circumstances that FCA might have placed on him. Everyone wants to save money, so when things change, it’s a legitimate topic. He was basically the best deal on the east coast before things change.

FYSA. With FCA affiliate programs like TL, my understanding is that it's 1% under invoice to the buyer, and the dealer also gets 1% kickback from FCA. So if they aren't getting reimbursed from FCA, they are losing the 1% discount to the buyer and 1% rebate to the dealer.

I definitely have to give this guy credit. He has bent over backwards and busted his a$$ for the forums. I wish I had a dealer like him near me. This is what he posted on Facebook...look how many orders he has...that's called excellent dealer service

I was thinking about riding my motorcycle down and then throwing it in the back but then I remembered I'd have to find ramps lol

Would it be bad to tow 1500 lbs (probably less) during break in?
I looked into this more. If it wouldn't hurt the engine break-in, it would cost $83 for a trailer with ramps to come back up with the bike in it. Fuel for the bike would be roughly $25 for the trip, so the only real cost is time. On the bike, it's not that bad.

I am just curious if putting the engine under load of about 1800 or so pounds (bike+trailer as uhaul doesn't rent the lighter motorcycle trailers one way :-/ ) that early would be a concern.
