I have an Intech Flyer Chase. The smallest of the Flyer lineup. Biggest thing for me was the A/C also when purchasing. I do wish they came with a 12V fan like the Pursue, but with the chase it’s one or the other.

I replaced the battery with a LiTime 100ah Lifepo4 and mounted a 200w BougeRV panel on the top. Took the trailer cross country to the PNW from Florida in September/October with my Ranger. I have yet to tow it with the Jeep, but that’ll come soon enough.

How did you mount the Lancer to the travel trailer? That's pretty amazing!

Well..........the WIFEY and me are looking into getting back into camping again. Having gone through travel trailers, 5th wheels, 2 class A money pits. Been looking at a small travel trailers. It's just the 3 (furry kid) of us. Came across the IBEX 19 MSB Beast Mode. For now, it checks all of our boxes. What you you guys think? It's right at the edge of the tow weight.

I absolutely love that floor plan. Probably the best lighter weight plan available. The problem you may have is with payload, at 600+ hitch weight, you and your wife, plus anything else in the bed and fuel, you will probably be over the GVWR and if your vehicle has mods to it, even worse.

I have a 2023 Max Tow with over 1600lbs of payload. I tow my trailer which weighs 5100 fully loaded. My truck had my wife and I, firewood, generator, recover gear, paddle board, Kayak and I was under my payload by 50lbs.

This is what I tow. Dry Weight 4,400 lbs

My Gladiator tows it fine. I average 11 mpg in an area that is full of hills and at 5000' plus. Typically tow at 60mph, manually shift, a weight dist. hitch and a sway bar with no issues whatsoever.

After seeing people post theirs, a Casita is what I'm wanting to get someday.
I looked into getting a Casita before I ordered my Scamp. My reason was tongue weight and to short for me to stand up inside. But it has some better things for some. Last year I was doing some repairs and updating my Scamp from wear and tear of over a decade of use. Some I have been putting off for to long. Now replacing axle on it. Note for anyone who is looking at trailers torsion axles have a life cycle at 7 years old it normally needs replacing. The replacement has over doubled in cost in last 4-5 years.

Back when I lived in GA. I started building a teardrop trailer, I had already done a Comanche bed trailer for my XJ. Now if anyone sees it definitely send me a message. It got ripped off before I could move it to AL.

One trip I started last year with my Scamp.

Well...... went looking at campers today. Went to the dealer that sells the IBEX models. Didn't have any in stock. But we did look at a couple of other ones. Found one that checked all the boxes. A Grand Design Imagine 17MKE. Listed for $41,995. Sale price was $29,995. Show model. It has all the optional packages. Spec's, Tongue 517, UGW 4921, GVWR 6395, Length 21'11'.

We put a couple of bucks down to hold it until we do all of our research on it. I know it maxes out on weight.

So....what to you guys think about this one.

The only thing I see after a quick look is the fridge on the rear wall. Just have to make sure you pack it carefully. Stuff on the back wall or near the back end tend to bounce around alot more than other areas.
Friends of ours with a rear kitchen have had fridge stuff all over and broke a microwave glass turntable from the bouncing.
They learned to take out the glass turntable and found ways to stop the fridge contents from bouncing around and falling out when they opened the door.

I know all about shit bouncing around. Having owned a couple of other campers and motorhomes. Open up the door and it looks like a snow globe.

I would say the Grand design has a better build quality than the IBEX.
For me, that is pushing the limits of what I want to tow with a Gladiator. I would make sure it's empty when towing.

So how do you pack a fridge to prevent this? Serious question. I’ve been eyeballing hybrid campers for a while now and would have to deal with this. Didn’t have this problem on my pop up.
