I don't like the thought of having to carry that weight from one end to the other, or have it in the bed of the truck to carry around - when you are already in a sticky spot where getting around and installing a winch could be tricky (not to mention the weight). If you are buried in mud, the last thing I'd want is to have to put a winch in place and connect it with the bumper sitting on mud.If I hadn't already did the winch in a stock plastic bumper project, I'd probably try out the portable route.
Heck.
I might do it anyway. I can get another plastic bumper for free![]()
I like the more permanent setup he's got on the rear. Just leave it there.
