I'll start off by saying I HATE this thing. I will not buy another Chrysler product until they totally redo this piece of garbage. Here's an example..

I get in, start it up. "No Device." Audio, then Devices, then Bluetooth so it will play from my phone. Then, approximately six engine starts later, it forgets this and I have to do it all over again. OR, if I plug into CarPlay, it forgets it immediately and the very next time if I don't plug into CarPlay, I have to go through it again to play through Bluetooth.

WHY THE HELL DOES IT DO THIS? Is there any kind of fix for it? I'm just about ready to sell the thing and go back to WJ that has a normal stereo in it.
I just plug mine into carplay everytime solves the issue. Have no idea why it does that so I just plug it in and forget it

Wireless CarPlay, recommended. I have had one of these since Jan 2023. It works great when the 7" radio I have works right. I have had multiple issues with the stock radio, cabled or wireless, always stems back to the radio. Truck is going in soon to fix a few, minor, items. Radio included.

I will note that I am on my third one, broke the first, lost the second when I re-wired the JTR for the stereo, 3rd one was just a bad out of the box unit, 4th has been solid. $80

Issue with the 7" for me has been the radio just forgets it has CarPlay, literally it the phone, shows it connected but the CarPlay SW does not open or start. Not always, rarely, but when it does it is annoying. Another thing is steering wheel track skip, 50/50 if it will work. On screen always seems to work. Do note these issues were also prevalent prior to the wireless unit and has been to the dealer for it multiple times.

Apple or Samsung or Google. Monopolies have few choices. Every time I see Tim Cook or Sundar Pichai they remind me what true monopolies look like.

I get all the same weirdness on my 2021 with the 7" radio using a Carlinkit v.3 wireless Carplay adapter. I've used Carlinkit v.2, v.4 & v.5, and they're much the same as far as interfacing to the radio.
And I've had the radio replaced, with little improvement.
I'm gonna try one of the Teeran adapters...
