Random recurring issue popped up again today. Turn the truck on and the screen just starts going nuts....cycling through all the screens and unresponsive to touch controls.
is this a known issue? advice?

I have not heard of that one. Is there any moisture on the screen? Grease? Make sure it is clean and dry and if it continues it may be a bad touch screen.

Is it still under warranty?

I have noticed this happens more frequently on rainy days. I don't even touch it and it goes wild cycling through everything.

I have had the same thing happen to mine a couple times, then gets all fuzzy like an old tv with lines through it. it reset once I turned vehicle off but one day was like that all day, of course when I was going to take it in that afternoon it started working and haven't had an issue since

Man - I'm sorry - that stinks. Happens more on rainy days makes me think it's somewhere in wiring/connections and maybe not the unit itself. Wish I had more to give you than just wishing good luck on getting it figured out and resolved.

By chance did you get it wet by wiping it off this morning? Do you have a screen protector? If you have a protector and wiped it off, sometimes moisture collects around the edges and pools. Causes issues with the touch screen.

It was going berzerk before I even touched the screen.

Moisture/humidity could affect the touchscreen. The 8.4 here had a similar problem. While not really visible in most lighting, the screen had some oil/lotion on it, causing the touchscreen to respond.

I'll give it a cleaning/wipedown and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wiped the smudges off of mine one afternoon and leftover moisture made it do as you explain the following day. I dried it off very very well and it gave me no more problems. A lot of humidity can cause issues too especially if you are running your AC and then you decide to open the top on a humid day.

It sounds like a potential loose grounding issue.
