I think it would be a waste of money to Fluid Film or any other oil base coating over Ziebart coating. Good or bad, Ziebart is a product that once you apply it, you have to be committed to it for the life of the vehicle. Apply another product mid stream would cause more issues than it solves.
I agree with you. I was thinking of it from a perspective of if he actually got that coating removed. Then go for the other brand, and get way from the Ziebart disappointment he was dealing with. Definitely agree though, if can’t get that old stuff off, pretty much stuck with the Ziebart annually. But there used to be two Ziebart type of coatings that you could get, and I think there is confusion on my end reading through some of the comments as to which the OP had. Ziebart had that crap rubbery one that they put on that rust will fester under if it wasn’t caught, then they have one that’s like a super sticky version of fluid film. Not sure if they still offered both these days or not. I moved south and got away from that stuff, so haven’t kept up with products like that. If he had the fluid style one, ya it’s some work to get it off, but can be done, and would be able to switch over to a better product, even Woolwax would probably be better than current situation.

I can't remember the name they gave what I asked for but I asked (and paid $800) for the best package. This JT is the newest vehicle I've ever owned and I intend to keep it till they take my license. They sprayed the underside with the black sticky stuff and then inside the door/body panels and under the hood they sprayed the sticky goo stuff. My issue is the seemingly sloppy work. If they just got under it and sprayed everything, did they even do the rust inspection? The overspray on the pretty bits are frustrating as hell, but what I really want is attention to the rust. I guess I'll just have to rely on the repair work guarantee when their sloppiness catches up with me.

But if they spray my new gold suspension parts, I'll freak
