I agree with you. I was thinking of it from a perspective of if he actually got that coating removed. Then go for the other brand, and get way from the Ziebart disappointment he was dealing with. Definitely agree though, if canāt get that old stuff off, pretty much stuck with the Ziebart annually. But there used to be two Ziebart type of coatings that you could get, and I think there is confusion on my end reading through some of the comments as to which the OP had. Ziebart had that crap rubbery one that they put on that rust will fester under if it wasnāt caught, then they have one thatās like a super sticky version of fluid film. Not sure if they still offered both these days or not. I moved south and got away from that stuff, so havenāt kept up with products like that. If he had the fluid style one, ya itās some work to get it off, but can be done, and would be able to switch over to a better product, even Woolwax would probably be better than current situation.I think it would be a waste of money to Fluid Film or any other oil base coating over Ziebart coating. Good or bad, Ziebart is a product that once you apply it, you have to be committed to it for the life of the vehicle. Apply another product mid stream would cause more issues than it solves.
