This is the most recent ECM; found on many late 21's and up. It has the electrical connections on the TOP not on the side (a GEPC 2) . Last check in March 2023; had not found anyone that unlocked this version of ECM.. Appreciate any info on companies that are successful in Unlocking. TIA

Many do. They just don’t support OBDII flash yet but bench flashing (no need to open ECU) is available and working.

Usually the flashing evolves:
1. Bench flash, ECU open (mostly hardware attack)
2. Bench flash, ECU stays closed (software, because the protection/encryption keys were retrieved as part of 1.)
3. OBDII flash, may or may not happen with the GPEC5 depending on what security countermeasure they have implemented

They definitely have 1 and 2 already supported.

What does unlocking the ECM do?
When performance improvement equipment; e.g.. superchargers or turbos are installed, the ECM must be unlocked and a new Tune is installed to provide timing and fuel curves needed. There are also tunes that can be installed to improve performance without adding a supercharger or turbo.
