UPDATE RECOVERED HELP dropped key under console

HELP, I dropped my key!!!

I dropped it between the seat & the console on the drivers side

There is a hole.
Only on the drivers side. Under the console.

I dropped my key & it went I there.
Any advice or ideas on how to get it out.

It is a AJT Key

maybe see if you can worm this into the area and try to grab it. Im sure an auto parts store / walmart / lowes / home depot will have one you could grab today.

Thank you for the suggestions but that will NOT work.
It is a AJT key, so it is all plastic.

Also it is where the E-Brake and join the frame There to much metal in the area it will stick to other stuff.

OHHHHH i gotcha now. I thouhgt you meant just the key from the back of the ajt design...but its the entire plastic fob. maybe it will still work if you have a key ring in there.

you could also try tieing a fish hook to some line (or seel lead if you have it) and literally fishing around to see if you can grab it blind.

That is what I am SCARED of.
With the console or the chair.....

I was hoping another idea, before I have to resort to that.

If I was going to start taking stuff out / off any idea how ?

Just remove the two rear bolts and rotate forward to access the key.

Seems to be a silly place for an opening given that so many people drop things in that area. Sounds like a good opportunity for the aftermarket to develop an easy and cost effective solution!

yea once i dropped a quarter into a public toilet. I threw a 20 dollar bill in after it and then pulled them both out. The guy next to me asked why in the hell i threw in that 20 dollar bill. I told him no way am i going to put my hand in the toilet for a quarter.

Glad you got it out. That's one reason the FOB never leaves my pocket, unless absolutely necessary.
