Finally got mine this week and installed it yesterday. I also took some time and repainted the grill support bars as well because they had some faded spots. It’s more subtle on the black Jeep, but I like how it looks

Hey everyone, I finally took the plunge and bought a takeoff 2024 grille, requires no paint since it’s bright white already, but doesn’t have the front camera cutout. Can anyone confirm what I need to make it work? From what I gathered it’s :

7HR05RXFAA texture grille
68566612AA camera bracket

Here is a pic of what I bought and have coming :

Do I need anything else? Any screws? Also does the new “texture grille” need paint or does that stay unpainted?

Based on this website, I think you need a different center section. They list 7HQ99RXFAA as the correct one for having a camera. The camera bracket/retainer part number is correct, and you will definitely need it as the old one will not fit. I reused the screws from the old retainer on the new one as those are the same.

The camera wiring will need some rerouting to get it attached to the new grille, but you have plenty of wire to do so. The main difference is that the old grill runs the wire down one of the vertical grille bars, and then along the bottom to the connector behind the grille and fender. Since the bars on the new grille are open for airflow, you need to run the camera wiring/washer hose along the top of the grill, then down around the headlight, and hide any extra behind the left side of the grill. I found it easier to unplug the camera wiring and washer connector from the connection behind the grille on the left side and take them out with the old grill. Then I moved everything over to the new grille and got it routed and tied down (zip ties are your friend for this) the way I wanted it, leaving enough free to reattach to the body side of the wiring and washer hose. Then I brought the grille up to the truck, plugged in the camera connections, and reattached the grille.

I believe you can leave it unpainted. I chose to have mine painted gray like the original one was since it's a Rubicon, and the black needed some contrast.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you buy your grill?

How much clearance does this grill give you with the Badland winch?
I can't speak to the Badlands specifically, but on my Warn Evo it's a ton of difference. Nothing rubs the grille anymore, and I can easily slide the grille in and out without having to move the winch.

Has anyone purchased the Distinction Applied after market 2024 grille? 549 color matched and shipped isn’t too bad.

I did. If you look closely passenger side gap is a bit smaller close to the hood but not touching. It’s barely noticeable. I also plasti dipped the black and red vent trims 😅

Can you post or message me a pic? I’m not usually OCD on stuff but unnecessary expensive stuff I tend to be lol.
