Upgrade to Sport S to Rubicon Suspension?

You can easily go 35" with the Rubi suspension..

If you take out that ridiculous piece of plastic between the Bumper and front fenders, 37" no problem.
I'm on 315 75 17 now..

Thank you! Yea, I took that plastic piece off the second night we had it... only then because we left the dealership around 10 pm, back the next mornin for them to move our 33’s over to the JT then to the beach. I do not like how that silly thing looks.

What do you gain by upgrading a Sport S with Rubicon takeoff suspension other than about an inch lift front and rear? Is it stiffer springs on the rear and doesn’t squat as bad when loaded or towing?

I did this same thing. Now I have a loud noise in the right front when going over rough pavement. Everything was installed the same way I took it off and torqued to factory spec. Any idea what it could be?

Shocks have nothing to do with height. Springs control height. Shocks dampen spring oscillations and prevent "bounce" but shocks do not raise or support a vehicle. Ride will change, height will not.

Rubicons do have rake. My Rubicon had 1.5" of rake from the factory. When I measured the distance from the ground to the center of the fenders, I thought the Rubicon was level since the distance from the ground to the fenders were the same front and rear. However, I could clearly see the front squatting more than the rear.

I took another measurement from the ground to the opposite ends of my rock rails. That is where I found the 1.5" difference in height.

I have since added a winch and steel bumper and now my front squats 1.75" - 2" lower than the rear.

I purchased the Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit to raise the front end some while still maintaining a little bit of rake. I will install this weekend and take measurements.
