After having the Terra ones in there for a few days I am really not impressed in them. They might make the return ride back.

Were they not as clear or loud? Looking to hear more input as I was thinking of these or the kicker plug and play kits to upgrade the stock system.

I'm not JTGuy but I recently installed a pair of Terra Acoustics dash speakers in my 2020 JTR. I have found the sound quality of the OEM Alpine system to be greatly enhanced by the Terra Acoustics speakers. Specifically, the high frequency sound is much clearer and crisper and I can crank the volume all the way up without distortion. Could not do that prior to the Terra Acoustics speaker installation.

I have the stock non-alpine system....so would anything be an upgrade? lol.

I found the speakers to be underwhelming, pretty much no bass at all.

After having the Terra in for several days I guess they sound OK. I expected more out of them in volume. I'll keep them.

Has anyone had an issue with the front dash speakers blowing repeatedly? I have had a couple pairs of KFC-X3Cs in there and both times, the speakers ended up sounding like there was a bag of rocks shaking around in there on the bass notes. The first set of speakers worked well for several months, but now every set I put in seems to blow after a short time. The soundbar speakers also have the same 3.5s in there and have been fine for nearly a year.

7", non-Alpine system. Don't feel like I listen to anything particularly loud (rarely turning the system up past 20). My thought is that they're clipping and blowing each time. Should I add bass blockers to try and protect them from the bass notes?
