For me it’s simple.....I’m a Jeeper. Have been for more than 20 years. I was a hot rod/muscle car guy before that (1973 340 Duster with 425 horses was my daily).
I like to build/modify/tinker with my vehicles. Thats one thing that drew me to Jeeps. The ability to go anywhere was another. Also the Jeep community. We wave to each other, we go on rides together, we’ll have hours long conversations about our Jeeps with total strangers who also drive a Jeep.
I converted my wife and now she owns a Jeep. Converted my daughter and she too owns a Jeep.
That being said, since my wife now has a JLU, I decided it would be a great time to trade in my JKU for a Gladiator. I still get to live the Jeep life, but also get the benefit of a truck bed!! Now I can haul around or move stuff whenever I want to and don’t have to borrow a friends pickup. Then if the urge strikes, I can go run in the mud, climb some rocks, or run through deep snow.
