Looking to add JScan to the arsenal… (yes I am behind). Both of these are listed as recommended on the JScan webpage. However, I want to ensure I am not missing any big differences??

VLinker is $60
OBDLink is $140

what does the OBDLink bring to the table for 2x+ the cost?? Not finding many comparisons through google or YouTube either.

Any experience with these would be appreciated.

I have the OBDLink MX+ and AlfaOBD. It is the recommended device. I don't remember all the details why, it is supposed to have the faster response time needed to make some of the changes. I purchased before they raised the regular price from $100 to $140 and got it on sale for $80. It is usually $20 off during most major sales events, if you have time to wait. I use the app that is provided for it by the manufacturer to check for Emissions readiness before getting the yearly smog test done.

I use the vlinker mc+ with jscan and I like it so far. I haven’t noticed any lags or anything. So far I’ve only changed tire size and tpms pressure set points though.
