Received the wiring harness to tap into the rear of the 12 volt socket... To connect my GMRS radio. I was not in the mood to take apart the old dash to pull out the one I had... for 17.00, not worth the work to get that removed...

I agree sometimes it’s not worth the hassle and worth it to just buy a new one. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the rubigrid at first but everything else was out of stock so ordered it and have been liking it so far

Back when Toy-R-Us was in business, they saw you pulling in the parking lot.

Wasn't there one off SR200?

Installed the hood shocks and all four door sills...

The Mopar door sills are really tiny... I like the looks over what I had before, but the coverage of the sill is less...

Factory mud flaps installed. These are not an easy bolt on... since these are designed for a different trim.

I used stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts to secured them in place. Same thing I did on the previous one.

I will later paint the bolts black so that they disappear...

Something I wanted to add... this Mojave handles/feels so much better than the previous one I had.

I know the springs are different due to the metal bumpers, but wow, what a difference that made. Firmer, more composed while driving fast through rough roads.... I like it!

Also, something was done to the steering system. It is firmer. I like that change as well.

I thought I was going to miss the previous dash layout, since I really loved the four air vents with the orange trim. But this new dash is growing on me. I still would like to replace the air vents with the ones that have the orange trim, just not willing to go through all the work that is required to do so... plus I do not have any confirmation that the orange ones would fit...

Anyway, wanted to share after putting another 250 miles yesterday, visiting my uncle for his 87th birthday

Eventually, I want to change that rack for an Xtrusion-Overland.com bed rack system...

Thank you!

Still looking for a few more things:

  1. I would like to be able to lock the hood. Can't use the Bolt hood lock due to the front camera. So looking for some alternatives. Rugged Ridge Locking Hood Catch seems to be out of stock or discontinued... This is the one that I want. So I went and reached out to them to confirm if it was just out of stock or discontinued. Happy to learn that it should be back in stock towards the end of the month or in October... I know it is not as good as the Bolt lock and it is just another set of keys, but I want something that would make it just a tad more difficult for someone to get into the engine bay.
  2. Fuel cap with lock. Ordered Mopar fuel cap - and now installed!
  3. Oracle rear bumper LED reverse lights. I liked how these worked in the previous Gladiator I had. I have not pulled the trigger on these because, if do the chase light bar, these might not be needed.
  4. JCR-Offroad Half Roof Rack - I like the looks and it is available. The other option continues to be on backorder.

    Jeep Gladiator Wachuko's 2024 Mojave X Build Thread JTRK_10_1024x683

  5. 35" pizza cutter tires... Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T T255 /85 R17 121Q E1 BSW
  6. Rock Hard front and rear lower control arm and rear shock skid plates - Ordered.
  7. Hood mounted ditch lights. Loved the BajaDesign ones that I had in my previous ZR2... thinking for getting similar ones for my Jeep... or some KC Ditch Lights... I would love the KC Gravity Titan bundle, but man! that is cost prohibited 😱 - Ordered inexpensive LED lights for ditch, front bumper, and bed rack - and now installed!
  8. LED (chase??) light bar facing the back. Maybe mounted on the back plate of the roof rack since the bed rack is so low... Probably will wait for having the roof rack before searching for this... but during the drives in nasty weather here... this is a great thing to have for added visibility.
  9. I want the EPIC CROW Molle Overhead Rack
  10. Need to figure out how to mount the Rotopax fuel canister to the side rails on the rack... got some plates that I will play with to see if that will work. Either that or see if I can find some already made molle panels that would work with my setup.

I am still using my motorcycle camping gear, so not looking at a rack mounted tent for now.

That is all for now, I think... Goes without saying, I really like my Jeep...

Did not wanted to spend much on the auxiliary lights... went with some inexpensive units from Amazon...

Two fog lights, and brackets, for the bumper bar

And four small ones for the bed rack (two for each side bracket

I remove the rear bar, of the rack, often. So I can't place a chase light there... That will really have to wait until I get the roof half-rack.
