Wait or not to wait for 2021 model

That's why I got the LE. The leather wrapped dash is really nice with the black seats and the red accent stitching is less intrusive like this

It's because you ordered the tan seats. If you order any Rubicon with black leather or cloth seats, you get the red dash. Any Rubicon with the tan seats gets the gray dash. Only exception to this is the LE with the black leather dash, and a factory installation error which has supposedly happened (one user on this forum got a blue Rubicon with black seats and gray dash) .

I don’t think that’s accurate. Certain colors have gray dashes. Punkn has gray. If someone has a red dash with Punkn, that would be surprising.

Now that you mention that, I think that rings a bell that someone did mention that previously on the forum, but not sure I ever saw a pic. Anyone able to provide one?

Here’s a link to one. I was trying to decide between Punkn and Sting Gray, so I looked at both. Both of their Punkn’s had gray, so I made that assumption. Nothing on the Sticker to say it was ordered that way.

Yeah, that silver looks good on the Punkn, red would look a bit out of place. Are there any other exterior colors that also have gray?

I really don’t think so. I really like the red dash, so it was interesting to see the comments. That said, the gray dash in Punkn really makes that car. As you said, red would be rough in it. With my Sting Gray, I couldn’t imagine not having a red dash.

I’m waiting for 2021. I really want one now but I’m trying to be disciplined and get the second year of production. There’s no color grabbing me right now anyway. I used the same philosophy ordering my 2019 Rubicon 2 door Mojito , second your production and I love the color.

Just a note on the ESS , I thought I would remember to turn it off every time, I didn’t. it was very frustrating. I purchased that smart stop module and it’s awesome. Highly recommend. I forgot all about ESS.

So, this is interesting, I went a looked through the punkn owners thread, and there's a Punkn Rubicon with red dash... Weird.

There were some Punkn and Hydro blue Rubicons with black interior that got a grey dash early on but not anymore. All Rubicons being produced now with black interior will have a red dash unless you pick tan leather.

if you find one for sale with a grey dash it is an early production model.
