My old truck (2017 Ridgeline) had a feature that always (supposed to at least) did this when I turn off the truck, exit the vehicle and shut the door:

1) beep once
2) when over 6 feet away the truck would beep again and lock the doors

I hear no audible beep or honk when walking away from my Gladiator, is there a way to do this? I assume it's been locking the doors but would like to have some reassurance. I can find my fob and lock it but that gets inconvenient and I am so used to the Ridgeline autolocking. So the Gladiator does autolock right?

No.. it does not lock on its own. My husband has that option on his new GMC. I am jealous. My biggest regret was not looking for a Rubicon w the proximity door locks. Having to look for the key fob in my purse is a PITA!

The only time it Autolocks is if you unlock it but don't open one of the doors. If you want a silent lock, use the inside button and then close the door. For a verbal confirmation, close the door and press the lock button in the handle, or the lock button on the FOB. I confirm it is locked by checking a rear door handle. If you have the proximity feature, you have to push the button with a single finger. If you get your hand too close to the handle while trying to lock, it unlocks again.

I don't think you can actually refer to your pilot as a truck. It may confuse people reading your question.
Sorry, I should've said 'a vehicle that is as modern as its price'

I have the proximity option and disabled the door lock honk in settings, not a big fan personally. not sure if that's an option with the fob or not, never used mine.

I don't see where the door lock settings are. So my choice is to lock with fob or push the button on the door after exiting? The button would be less of a bitch than finding my fob.

if you have the button on the handle I would most definitely use that, just hop out and push it as you walk away. I didn't like the horn because you can hear the locks activate and I have the lights set to flash.

That feature means that the truck will honk when you exit the vehicle and push the Lock button.

Auto Door Locks means what exactly? This is what I thought locked your doors automatically after exiting.

When you attain a certain speed the doors lock automatically...

I had a Taco and 4Runner that did the same thing and it is a nice feature but my loaded Rubicon does not do that...

I am pretty sure my moderately loaded Rubicon locks at a certain speed. Like 12 mph? I thought I read that.

My loaded JLUR locked the doors at a certain speed, I'm in between Jeep now, but I think there is setting in Uconnect for door locks.

Yes it does but not after you park it and walk away that would be nice to have something I miss from my Taco's

Just went through mine and it has to do with lights flashing and horn sounding...

That is my sole reason for this thread. But since my last vehicle was a Ridgeline the issue is less of a topic for a meaningful discussion, but since your Taco had it some more people might voice their input.
