Does anyone have any experience with this Weathertech bed mat?
I've owned the Rubber DeeZee one before. While a decent product, it's a little grippy making it a little more difficult to slide things in and out of the bed. Looked and the Smartliner that seems to be pretty popular here but the lip seems like a bit of an annoyance. That led me to the the Weathertech. Never purchased anything from them before but hear the quality is top notch. Curious if anyone can tell me if it warrants the added cost compared to the others. Thanks

I’ve been thinking on buying the weather tech, looked at the others but their mats on the inside are great. I like the lip they have on the sides of the bed. Look like they go up about 3 inches which is extra protection.

I've been really happy with the functionality and durability of the bed rug. Had one for 8 years in my previous pickup

Spray in liners aren't much more dolla's...budget ones for 400 and Line-X for 500.

You can get the Rugged Liner bed liner with the tailgate piece for the same money or less and have complete bed protection.

My gladiator actually came with a spray in liner. Was looking for a bed mat in addition to that to protect from impact. A little overkill but for what I spent on this truck, I plan to have it for a long time and want it to last!

I have experience with a lot of WeatherTech products, down to the bowls for my pups, and they are always great; including customer service. I don't have this product however.

I have the rubber mat you mentioned and I purchased it for the sole reason that I didn't want items sliding around; you're right in that it holds firm. Even small items don't move, which I like.

My most recent experience with WeatherTech was with their molded floor liners. The spot that 'snaps' into the floor had bent over time and no longer would stay put. I sent them an email, they called me and confirmed an address and sent replacement liners for the front and passenger side of the JT. All done within one week! Free of charge!

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these as well. I had a rubber bet mat in my Tacoma and it was great for keeping things in place. On this truck I have the line-x bed spray so now I’m not worried about the bed, but worried about scratching metal when I slide it across the rough bed surface. So now the bed is protected looking to protect stuff from the bed.

Did you ever come to a conclusion? I‘m considering the same thing myself.

Want to save a bunch of money and get better protection?

Go to Tractor Supply or Rural King and buy a 3/4" thick rubber horse stall mat and trim to fit.

I do not have the bed mat, but I have used there products in three different vehicles. Very high quality with good customer service. I will be ordering a roll up bed cover next week.

I installed the WeatherTech bed & tailgate mat. The mats fit well. IMHO they will probably be fine for normal use. The mat prevent things from sliding around in the bed and is thick enough to protect the bed. I don't have an issue with it not extending up the sides of the bed like the spray on bedliner.

The tailgate has a hard plastic retainer that you attach to the tailgate with double sided tape and slide the top edge of the tailgate mat into it. It does stick up 1/16 higher than the mat. On one hand it makes me think that sliding something out of the bed might catch it but on the other hand I can't come up with a scenario where this would actually happen.

6-months in. The tailgate mat stretched and came loose. WT deemed defective and sent out a replacement. Very good customer service.
