Most all that i know of State DMVs, federal and state offices are all like doctors offices these days it seems like everywhere does it the same way, you can do most things on line, make an appointment if you have to go in person so you do not have to wait, Go in and do some things at a self service kiosk or go at the last minute wait in line check in and sit with the others that have no appointment. You can often check in on your phone when you arrive weird thing sometimes you can check in before you leave home.
In CA they still manage to make you wait an hour or 2 past your appointment. Depending on the location there's 20-30 windows and 3-6 open. And those 3-6 people act like they couldn't care less if they get through any of the people waiting before their next break. I hope it's better everywhere else, but with some of the highest taxes and wages in the nation, it's clearly not pay/ cost related.

Blythe baby, and they were excited to have a customer. Only one I've ever had a good experience with in Cali.

If I have to drive hours to a middle of nowhere DMV to get good service I'm not sure it's saving me anything though?

It was on the way somewhere, or back from somewhere, total extra time to trip was maybe 15 minutes. Not an intended trip, just on the way.

If you're going to call it the "Apocalypse Hellfire" and there isn't a crew served weapon in the bed, are you really apocalypsing?
This thing would survive the apocalypse and keep on going and going and going. And scare the F out of the soccer moms in the slow lane too ;)

I didn't see "California DMV" I saw "DMV" when I read the post - and my experience with the DMV in my area has been excellent. Clean, bright buildings, friendly staff that move quickly, short wait times, use of technology to improve things - like scheduling appointments online ahead of time to spread out high-volume hours across the day.

There are times I have to go in and my ass can't even get in the seat before they call my number.
Now serving B123. Yep same here . On 1 occasion I walked in No one at any counter they simple had me walk to the appropriate clerk was out in 10 min.
