You guys are going by urban legend.

Here's a hint: change the oil according to the manufacturer's recommendations (RTFM).

Changing it before is a waste of your $$$
It’s not an urban legend. I just bought a new mower last year. Recommended an oil change after running oil through it for 3 hours or a few mows.

Soooo, update to the warning light.....after first dealer "forgot" about it, they never looked at it when in...took to 2nd dealer today.....verdict:
Door Switch. Apparently a faulty door switch that they have to order and replace as it is "drawing" on the battery thus the warning light...(weird since it is the ESS light illuminated)

My guess is that the ESS looks at a number of conditions before being able to work and the door switch being bad threw a fault in the ESS activating (it won't turn off the vehicle with the door open, or in park, etc).

There are two batteries. A motorcycle like battery for ESS and the main battery. When the ESS battery is "low voltage" you get the light. Also, depending on the temperature outside, hot or cold, the ESS will not "ready" and therefore won't engage.

If folks aren't daily driving the ESS battery can drain and cause lights and ESS not "ready" warnings. Some JL folks keep a battery tender on the "little" battery to avoid it and most dealers just replace it.

If you have an open circuit or something plugged into a non-switched 12v outlet that'll drain it too. As for the radio, in the uConnect settings, you have a radio/lights off delay setting, check on that to see if its been set for a long delay.

The JL's had a bad batch of ESS batteries sent out that plagued some folks. Not sayin that's causing your issue but it could be just a bad battery.

We had an intermittent issue with our Grand Cherokee for years where, if left for a few days, the main battery would die. Turned out that the air conditioner clutch wouldn't turn off and it would completely drain the battery. So, sometimes what you think it is the issue, turns out to be something else completely. Gremlins...

So today, went back to 2nd dealership to get "door switch" changed since that is what their code finder stated, and it's not......now they're saying it's a wiring issue or circuit issue and they will need it for a few days!!!!

Exactly why I am not a fan of technology! Just putting it out there.......good thing is that i don't have to keep pushing ESS button when i get in......

Those techs were a bunch of hacks. Pitiful to say the least but not uncommon.
