not sure why there is a small rift in the pot, i printed 2 separately and they both had identical cracks. I'll just turn the cracks to face the wall but still odd.

It’s not really a crack. It’s just where the outer wall starts and ends. You can tune setting and speeds to minimize it but it’s always there. My guess is you are hiding the seam using “sharpest corner” setting. That’s why you can’t see it on the pattern area and only see it on the round surfaces. For round objects sometimes using the “random” seam position helps.

Replacement fob final prototype. Got edge lifting 😤 🤬 from the smooth plate, otherwise this would have been the final product. This is a remix of a fob from the internet. Adding the topo was a huge amount of work. Getting good SVGs of topo is really hard. Working with it in Fusion is even harder. I hate Fusion 360. I may just buy a license to Shapr3d. As a long time Autodesk user, they and Adobe need to just go away. They’ve used their market share to really put out garbage software. This is topo from around the Rubicon Trail area. The Jeep is obviously low detail but to the naked eye, it looks really cool. This was printed with a .2 nozzle. I’ve added a gasket channel to the design as well. I’m hoping to fill the gasket channel with RTV from a needle. The original design has no seal. We’ll see how that works. I’ve got an OBX version in the works too I’m going to do in a matte blue with FDE or bone for the islands.

I'm designing and building an air hose clip storage system for my 4-tire air inflation system. The hoses (2 per side) have to loop back running from side to side. This requires a curved track along with multiple clips. Hopefully this will work, or I've wasted a lot of PLA. This fits in the void space in the inside top of the Diamondback cover. I'm tired of my Bucketboss air hose bag always being in my way. I like everything having a specific place, probably from fire service induced OCD.

I'm really enjoying my 3d mouse.

I made TPU inserts for grabbing the 1/4 male air fitting. It's the first time I've combined multiple types of filament in one assembly.

The mounts will bolt to the Diamondback's cross member with rivnuts and riveted into the aft edge.

I r
That looks incredible
Thanks! It’s certainly been an incredible pain the ass for sure. I’m think I’ve finally got the layout and final pieces to hold the ends of the hoses. Depending on the final print times, I’m hoping to get this installed today or tomorrow. It takes a few minutes to secure the hoses and they have to go a particular way. When I’m doing a lot of inflating and deflating, I keep the hoses out anyway and lay them on the rack on top. This is more for stowage when not on the trail, but it’s a good use of otherwise wasted space. And it doesn’t interfere with the lights. I was afraid it would give them a green tint, but it’s fine and the hoses are totally flush or above the bottom edge of the cross members. So far the PLA is fine in the heat.

Iterating over the design has been filament intensive because these are big pieces but at $16 a spool, I’ve probably got $50 in this project, max, including some M6 bolts.

Final piece.

what are you using to design?
Fusion360. It’s the worst (real) CAD program I’ve ever used. I’ve used other Autodesk programs professionally, and never been particularly happy with them, but Fusion is a truly buggy disaster. However, it’s free and has professional features and supports full resolution exports of STLs. I’ve been impressed with Shapr3d but it’s $300 a year for full resolution STL exports. You can get past the unintuitive aspects of Fusion and make it useable. You’ll still end up fighting the bugs and errors.
