Ya know... the best place to acquire caps in just about any color and style is in the gravel wherever tires are aired up!
I usually have 8 extras on the Jeep at all times. I’m the king of leaving them on the top of the sliders. So if you see me, call out. I’ll happily give you some. :)

if you are a costco member and not opposed to green, just ask for caps at the tire center. They just ask you how many you want.

Now that I've got the capability to air down off road, I also learned that you've got to put your air valve caps somewhere where they won't get lost in the woods. Not saying that happened to me, but I went to the AutoZone looking for some not too fancy black caps but they only had this charcoal metallic finished caps. Was a little disappointed till I started putting them on and realized they match up with my onyx AEV Wheels almost perfectly. Sometimes it's the little things. Better not lose these...
I know those aren't super expensive valve caps but I have stopped using anything other than the cheap black ones. I got tired of people stealing them and/or the shops replacing/rotating tires not putting them back on.

A) I don't get why people steal valve caps...it's so petty
B) what happened to attention to detail and people taking pride in their work, i.e. returning the vehicle to the owner the same or better than it was brought in?

Now I need to go yell at the d@mn kids that are on my lawn...

This begs 2 questions:
  1. Have I reached peak goofy 3d printed stuff from Etsy?
  2. Should I glue this to my hood or bumper with PL construction adhesive?

I was contemplating doing the same with another 3D printed hood ornament, but then pictured that block of plastic flying back at me at 80mph. Hmm. Tried gluing a rubber duck to my bug deflector with 3m tape, but the tape softened in the sun/heat and was coming off in a few hundred miles. Construction adhesive you say…

If your printing your own, why not print it hollow and thin. Maybe with a few internal ribs for support.

TPU... Print it right and it could be fun to watch it flop around on the freeway.

Yeah, that's my thinking as well. Still seems stupid but, hey, that's just me.
Just had my windows tinted as well: check your door trim fitment and door lock function. Apparently my shop removed the door trim to install the tint and did a pretty poor job of it. My manual locks don’t work right: the silver barrel that you’d move inside the door handle to lock/unlock doesn’t rotate the entire way any more on 2 of the doors. Going to remove the door trim myself and see if it’s an easy fix. Also looks like they didn’t pop all the clips back in (or maybe they’re broken, haven’t looked inside yet).

Some states don’t allow any tint on front windows
i believe there is something called "50 state legal" tint now. Thought I saw it on a window sticker?

my 2023 mojave doesn't even list tint.
my 2021 wrangler just says "deep tint sunscreen windows"
I've seen it somewhere? I'll go back and check my sticker. I really don't think I'm creative enough to come up with "50 state legal" on my own. :)

Created a just-in-case, sleep-in-the-cab camping setup. Prototyped with a rope hammock (pic 1), improved it with a polycanvas hammock (pic 2). It'd be a lot more roomy if I actually lost the 50 lbs I've been meaning to ?????

5'8" when the barometric pressure is low. Not as comfortable as our RTT, but certainly better than sleeping in the driver's seat.
