Installed a bug screen today. Kept my radiator clean on my previous jeeps so should be a nice addition to the truck.

How’s that attach?

I like that. Summer travel from Denver to the Wolf Creek Pass area always results in many bugs.

I really like that.

Installed the Bolt hood lock on my 2023 JTM. I did the same mod on my 2019 JLUR a few years ago and it has worked flawlessly and I just like the extra security, although I am aware that it will only delay a determined thief/knucklehead. Of course, this mod is more difficult for the JT if aesthetics matter because while the Bolt kit comes with a pre-fabbed center grill insert replacement piece, that piece is JL specific and Bolt does not make a kit with the JT’s wider honeycomb grill insert. Thus, one has to cut…

My wife carefully modified the black honeycomb grill insert with a handheld pair of small wire cutters and a dremel with a plastic cutting disc (I know my limitations and I ALWAYS screw-up stuff like this). We did remove the grill and the center honeycomb insert before cutting and it made it easy to cut and file. We finished by sanding down the sharp edges with files made for hobby-type plastic model building purchased from Amazon.

Other than a handheld pop rivet gun, a T20 bit and a flathead screwdriver, everything else came with Bolt kit. Total time start to finish was approximately 3 hours (going slowly).

Against my better judgement I installed a Rough Country front track bar when I installed my lift kit last summer . Today I replaced it with a Core4x4 Crawl model front track bar . Johnny Joints have served me well for about the last 15-20 years so far . Now I'm happy to have them on both ends of the track bar ...Tracks noticeably better.

Changed out the OEM lug nuts to black single piece lug nuts. Earlier in the week installed pneumatic lifts(Rival 4X4 Hood Lift SKU: 13027-4000 from Quadtratec)for the engine hood. Very easy install. Previous week installed a Fox Steering Stabilizer TS 2.0.

it comes with little button snaps that have 3m on the back. Works very nice in my opinion. Easy to remove if needed as well.

Mine came that way from the factory just like @JRobes. My OCD got the best of me so I fixed it 2 days after I picked it up. Being a first time Jeep owner, I had no idea how simple it would be. After some research I found that it was only a 2 minute job.
Thursday I finished up installing my rock lights that I will use just as puddle lights to see when getting in and out of the truck. Wired to the bed lights so they will work with the fob, doors open and factory bed light switch. Made my own brackets and mounted them using strong magnets so I didn't have to drill plus if I can move them if I want to.
Staying on topic of what did you do today, I installed XKGLOW vent side marker/turning signals. Most difficult thing was getting the fenders off. Apparently if your vehicle is new, those clips are a pain to get to release or break as they are not brittle enough. Also there are 5 X 10mm bolts that have to be removed and a couple of them are hiding from you. Wanna give a HUGE THANK YOU to @WILDHOBO for his help today. Dan and I had a great conversation and he stayed on the phone with me while I managed to get through taking the first fender off and wiring everything in order to make sure it was working the way I wanted it to. Can't thank him enough for the time spent with me today and goes to show how great the people are on this forum. Hope to meet up one day and buy him a beer or two or three......
Happy with the outcome.

I enjoyed it. I’m very glad the install went well. Those fenders are definitely nerve racking the first time you remove them. It really seems like something is going to break. Those lights look fantastic. Great job being more patient than I usually am. :)

"Fabbed" a relay mount out of a sheet of 22-gauge steel from Home Depot, 2 coats of rattle-can bedliner, and some electrical tape. I'm actually quite pleased with my work! And it provides lots of space for future aux cables and accessories.

We have a place in Pagosa. Do yall hang out in the area for the summer? Maybe we could run some trails.

We’re in South Fork!

It looks like we’ll be there most of the time starting next summer… PM me and we’ll hit some trails ?

Check the versions. Also I remember having issues getting some stuff installed and I got warnings about version compatibility. I didn’t have the Garmin crap out on me though. Might just be luck of the draw.
FWIW, I finally got it working. After the factory reset, no waypoints, routes or tracks would move from the Tread App over to the Tread XL. Had to work with Garmin Support and they helped me get things partially transferred but it still took me messing around all day yesterday to finally get back to where I started before the crash. But then I was able to get the orientation app, Dometic app and Renogy app installed and it’s all working as expected.

Thanks for your insight; it was helpful and appreciated.

Cheers!

So now the question, how much trimming is needed for the Bolt hood lock?
Almost none. And you won’t notice it. Good sharp side cutters and you’re done.
