Reminds me of the good old days before we all had windshields.

My 2nd bike also didn't have a windshield. I was tooling down the highway at a good clip and what must have been a bumble bee hit me dead-center in the chest. DAMN! it left a mark and a stinger so apparently I was chasing it.
I was pretty happy my next bike, the Maxim, had a windshield the prior owner put on it.

I got hit by a fucking duck one time. Right in the shoulder. I thought it broke my arm and I'm amazed I didn't go down. The duck sure did though.

Intriguing for sure, as I’ve yet to choose my lift, but mine weighs over 6k. Do they make an 8k?

Not sure about sizes, it's been awhile since I've looked at different lifts.
But there are portable 2 post lifts, it bee like having 2 of the lifts @Splenda has.
I would either do the portable 2 post lift or a 4 post lift. The 4 post lift would be able to use as storage for my toys in the winter. Load them up, lift it all the way up, then I could park under it also.
We ended up moving before I purchased.

Caught a bat right in the middle of my chest one night at 70 mph on my '78 Honda CB 750 SS. Thought that little bastard broke my sternum. Pulled off to the side of the road and looked down at the tank gas seat area. He was laying there with half of his guts hanging out it's mouth.

Another time. I had full leathers and a full face helmet on. I was riding my '03 Honda RC51. Went though a swam of bee's. Surprised that I only got strung twice.

Installed the American Adventure Labs Rear Molle Overhead Panel + Starlink Mini + Starlink Mini AALabs mount.

Starlink Mini operates great. Kiddo enjoys it. Great use for work + hunting + watching some of y'all's youtube videos on the go when I need to fix my certified shit box.

Cons; No instructions + Had to remove my headliner from my hardtop

Hooke Road makes a nice Molle panel for the rear seat roof that would not require removing the headliner. Here is one installed in my JLUR. I would suspect it cost less than AAL as well.

we were riding home from sturgis sd one year and encountered two pheasants on I-90. the first one grazed the top of my helmet. the second drilled my bride's right shin bone. we were doing 80 so figure what the power of that force was. it appeared to have exploded as there were beaks, feathers and guts everywhere. she was jumping around so much i thought i was riding a bike with a square rim! when we finally stopped for gas an hour later, the bruise was already REALLY ugly. sort of like getting hit with a 12 lb sledge hammer. we did 1,000 miles that day too. because we stayed an extra day in sturgis, we needed to beat feet home. we slept for 5 hours at a dirt bag motel in gary indiana and made it home that afternoon. the 1720 mile trip spearfish sd to volney ny, door to door 35.5 hours total duration. i should have put in for an iron butt trophy.

New MP concepts front bumper and Apex 12k winch. The winch is just sitting there in the pic. I re-wired the wiring to the side. When attaching the winch, I discovered that the winch plate that comes with the bumper is garbage. After hours of messing with it and modifying it to fit, I called it and ordered a Warn winch plate. I also wasn’t super impressed with the fairlead so I ordered another one. I put it back tooth no winch plate and I’ll be driving it without a winch or front skid till the new winch plate arrives next week.

I don’t hate the bumper, but it’s not that great of a value when you have to buy another winch plate. I am glad that it’s forged aluminum. My Jeep already weighs almost 5200 lbs and it’s plenty strong with the winch plate in it.

Leaning towards a 4 post short 8k portable. I’ve found them including two trolley jacks in the 5-6k range. It’ll be a while though as I need to organize the garage first.

Super curious as to the plans @WILDHOBO are you preparing to replace entire drive train and take the cab off ? Or is there a new lift in your future ?

Maybe both, someday. It’s always been a dream of mine to have a lift. Now that I have a garage that the Jeep fits in, I think I might do it. I’m leaning towards a 4 post to avoid bolting it down. The four post manufacturers don’t even recommend bolting unless you’re in an earthquake area. I won’t use it to store vehicles above, as my garage only has 10’ ceilings. But I’ll be able to be in a seated position to do more major work on the jeep like t-case and tranny pulls more easily. I plan to keep this thing forever, so it’s going to need major maintenance to keep it running great.

2 reasons I have even considered a 4 post lift:
Storage of a vehicle up high (15' ceilings but do have to watch for the infrared heater tube down the middle)
and -
the moron who did the concrete work refused to follow my directions and specs, insisting he'd done more concrete than i had - I told him I needed 3500 pound spec and 4" depth.
So what's he do? Used 2x4s which are 3.5" at best, and the sand he's put in the middle isn't true and flat meaning some parts of the floor are likely only 3" at best, some perhaps less. A 2 post requires strong concrete, and being bolted in place. You can't skimp on the floor.
A guy said he could cut out sections and repour the floor where a lift would go - but geesh, then it's more cost, messy, and it's there forever.
For my use, a 4 post would probably be ok, but a 2 post is fantastic for brake and suspension work for sure.
I drop engines and transmissions out the bottom of the older cars, and having the bottom of a vehicle wide open is pretty important. Pros and cons.

But now, my shop is such a disaster, there's no room for any lift, not even portable.

Ran some #6 wire/60 amp ANL fuse from the battery with an Anderson connector that will connect to my Winnebago Hike for my 50 amp DC to DC charger. In addition... installed my REDARC Tow-Pro Elite V3 Electric Trailer Brake Controller
