I only do SiriusXM on my boat through my fish finder / chart plotter for 3 summer months a year for live weather feeds. The rest I can live without.
I admittedly only listen to half a dozen channels, but there is so much area here that doesn’t have cell signal, that it’s nice to have reliable content when out in the boonies.

Just chaps my azz to have to pay for something I can get for free. In this case anyway. I do the Pandora thing. Use my data. I don’t mind. I pay enough for the dang phone as it is.

I’m a pandora person when there’s a signal, but their offline mode is horrible.

That's the best feature, the constant contact. Last year, my wife and I decided to take a distillery tour. We flew from Texas to Knoxville, Tenn., rented a car and hit the road. Connected my phone to the rental, launched XM and listened to 70's, Classic Vinyl, Yacht Rock and a few of my wife's country stations (she's a country music fan, I am not. She likes the new stuff, I only like the old stuff). We spent two days in Gatlinburg, then drove to Kentucky (BEAUTIFUL state !!) and hit Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses and Castle & Key distilleries. Then we decided we wanted some seafood. So we drove to Maryland and spent 3 days there, flew back home.

The whole trip listening to the same radio stations. No fading signals, no scanning stations, no "No job, no credit, everyone's approved !!" screaming car lot commercials. no televangelists crying for donations because they believe the only way you're right with Jesus is if you give them some of your money.

When an old familiar song came on, I couldn't guess how many times we said with a smile, "When was the last time you heard THIS ?!?!".

THAT'S the best part about XM radio.

I thought of that. But back in my working days, I could spend up to 4 hours a day driving, sometimes more depending on workload. I do have Unlimited Data on my cell plan, but that sucks up gigs FAST, at 20+ hours a week. Yeah, I have Unlimited, but they DO throttle you down a bit once you exceed a certain amount for the month. I need that data for catching a movie on my phone during my breakfast/lunch/dinner breaks...

Not sure if I'll use them or not.......wanted to at least have the rash rings in the event they are discontinued. Color matches much better in the pictures, no so much in person. I may just paint the rings black.

Those rings look pretty straight forward to have water jet cut out of 1/4 aluminum. You might want to draw up a template while they are new so you can send the drawing to a place like send cut send to cut new one when needed. It will be harder to make a template when they are smashed and bent.

What did your oil look like in the CC?
Last month it looked like a milkshake with all the cold weather.
If someone wasn't aware of that happening in the Winter with condensation they would freak out.
It's been warmer lately so it contained allot more Black oil vs milkshake.

That’s a lot of condensation to do that. Wow. Does it not get run often?

Looking good.

Do tell about the flip top. How is it open around town, and at speeds? How was the install?
