Absofreakinglutely !!! Steel ones. That is actually a great idea @Metalcloak are you hearing this 👆👆👆
That WOULD be awesome... except the Ball Joints primarily install into the axle side, into the C's.

I ended up using a ³/¹⁶ piece of flat metal strap under the outside of the cup on the bottom to achieve the correct angle. .
I fought with similar ideas, and used more than one cup during the pressing. It super sucked.

I’ll add that clearly I’m an idiot on Thursday mornings.

The problem with these is the taper on the lower C. Most of the rentals, harbor freight, parts stores presses don’t have a cup that matches that taper well. Next time I’ll spend the 6-700 on the Matco pivoting press. No question.
That settles it. I'll dump mine at one of the two nearby Jeep shops when it needs ball joints 😂

If I ever buy the tool, I’ll lend it to you when you want it.

The ball joints are a job. @Shibbyjeep, @Stan H, and many more can attest to that. If metalcloak sold knuckles with ball joints installed, I’d buy them. Put it that way.
@Metalcloak Mike teased the other day that they are coming out with Knuckles soon. And of course they come out with knuckles after I just upgraded mine.

Ohh I've done much worse.

I'm just getting to the point where I can make job I don't enjoy and need more expensive tools for someone elses problem.

I didn't do the ball joints on my JK myself, either 🤣
