No issues at all. I did order the extra kit to use with the spray in liner. I do not have the bed rail system but I did run a die in the screw holes and purchased screws and used the to secure the top all the way around.
I can look and see what die it was andthe screw size if you need it.
I'll see how it works out of the box, no bed liner or rail system here. Thanks for the offer, I might reach out if I find it needs more securing down.

I believe the tap for the bed rail screws are 6mm - 1.0 if I recall correctly.
A thread chaser will work as well as a tap and may be safer as it's not meant to cut - which can happen if one gets the tap started in the hole wrong.

Put the snow plow bar back on the truck.
I removed it last spring due to the sheer weight of the thing and how low it hangs. No need for it and it's only about 30 minutes off, 30 minutes on.
The end brackets alone are probably about 10 pounds each.
I cleaned, prepped and re-plated the handle bolts while things were apart as I cut the handles shorter so they'd not extend below the frame and didn't want things to rust.

Completed my suspension/tire upgrade.
went with the AEV full suspension and 35x11.5x17 Toyo’s
Love the look and it rides great. As I said to the service rep “ this is the way the Rubicon’s should have come from the factory” and he agreed!

Got off work early today and decided to undercoat spray my Gladiator for the winter season coming up. Been a Fluid Film or Woolwax user for years but decided to try out starting last year the PB Blaster Surface Shield product. So far liking it. Was lazy and did not get out the air compressor and wand sprayer and just decided to use the electric paint sprayer.

got a great deal on these, so I installed the rugged ridge window visors. Only ones I could find that were matte black and I think they look...fine.
Functionality is great at least. Now I can crack my window in the rain or snow

How did you go about replating them? That sounds like an interesting process

Please don't mention "crack" and "Window" on a Jeep forum............

Seriously, though, I've wondered if something like that could help with the sun shining in on the side windows certain times of late afternoon.

I do zinc plating as part of my restorations. That way I keep rare parts for classic cars in-house, no chance of loss, and can do small batches when needed. More control over the whole process.

Interesting that you can use a paint sprayer. How messy a job is this and what’s the cleanup like? Hmmmmmm

Whenever I use my windshield wash in the winter while driving, the wash/salt/road grime mix blows off the windshield and onto the side windows, all but making my side mirrors impossible to see through the dried on salt. I wonder if something like these would help keep the muck off the side driver and passenger windows?

The products mentioned are all lanolin wool/sheep fat based. Cleanup is relatively easy and any grease cutting cleaner like dish soap and similar can be used.

As to mess, you want to wear your crudy do not care if they get dirty clothes. The stuff will come out in a fine aerosol type mist and if crawling around on the ground, you will have some of it get on you but the stuff is non toxic and a simple shower afterwords will suffice.

Both product and application need to be done in 60's degree or higher weather Temps for easiest flow. In a pinch, can thin with vegetable oil but that degrades effectiveness of product.

Couldn't stand the factory bumper or not having a winch, had a warn winch plate mount laying around I used on my JL for awhile so tossed it on as a temporary front solution until I decide what route I want to go.

Nice, sounds pretty easy. Have you had luck with these keeping the undercarriage protected? I’ve heard of Fluid film before but it was landscapers who were using it to keep grass from sticking to the underside of their deck.
