My aux battery is about toast, i put a new main in about a year ago, I’m about to tear into this thing and you are saying just take off the entire fender to get hands on the aux battery? How’s the put it back on task? Thanks
Yes. It's much easier to take off the fender vs taking off just the liner. I have not replaced my aux battery yet but I have had the fenders off to work on a wiring harness for my vent lights. Just order some fender clips before you start because some of them will break. The first time I broke about 9 clips per side but the second time it was only about 2 per side. Go figure. I got mine from Quadratec. The key to putting the fender back on is to remove any unbroken clips that stayed attached to the truck and put them on the fender along with any new clips that are needed. Then you just align the clips with the holes and simply push them in until they all click in place. Very easy. Also remember there are 5 bolts that need to be removed before you start pulling the fender off. If you have any questions before, during or after let me know.

So today, I did rear seat delete on the cheap. Did this to give the 140 lb German shepherd, 80 lb Australian Shepherd and 40 lb Australian cattle dog more space. I also wanted something to easily change seating options. For example I could have the platform in on one side the other, both sides or neither. And for on the cheap I mean under $20. I pulled that off by only needing to buy 2 2x6 and 1 can of herculiner spray in bed liner, I had one other can at home and the OSB was also just sitting in storage.

EASY! Really easy. Replace broken clips and install all of them on the fender flare. Snap them into the body. Then put the five bolts back.

I’ve decided to make my Gladiator a dedicated camping rig. Installed KB Voodoo Aluminum rack, Nature nest rtt, and OVS awning. The brackets that came with the awning sit a little lower then I’d like, so today I ordered some aluminum bar stock, to make spacers which will allow me to move it in as well.

Would like to see final result after spacers.

Rebuilt the mount for Starlink mobility. I had quickly put this together last year, but it forced me to have my cross bars too close together to be useful for other things. Aluminum angle iron, 4 holes in two pieces, t bolts to attach to cross bars, bolts and nylock nuts to attach the Starlink wedge mount to the angle irons. Rounded all edges and painted black. Installed and done. I had to install in the dark and rain as I need the jeep tomorrow, so pictures will need to wait.

More like what have I been doing for the last month...

For awhile, I've been wanting to upgrade to an ARB Twin Compressor with tanks. The mounting options for tanks either don't work with my exhaust or don't work with the skid plates, so the project grew into: "what if I got air horns". Initially I liked the spare tire stealth bracket from HornBlasters, but I wanted more capacity (two 2 gallon tanks vs. one 2 gallon).

Unfortunately, the horns mount to the bottom of that bracket, and I didn't like how exposed they were (both visually and clearance-wise). So that turned into: "well I'm not using the area where the compressor goes, so I can slide a single horn through there".

That resulted in a lot of modification to the bracket, but successfully fitting their safety horn (which is cooler anyways; sounds like a fire truck). Then came running all the wires and air lines.

I opted for getting a digital air pressure gauge in my a-pillar, so there is a pressure sender on one of the tanks that requires a signal wire. I also opted for draining the tanks with an electric air valve (which is powered by the black circular button on my compressor mount). The horn valve itself is controlled by a relay in the engine compartment which gets power from one of my aux switches, and is "closed"/turned on via a lead from the actual factory horn wire. That allows me to enable/disable the air horn via the aux switch, and honk it via the steering wheel horn itself.

As a bonus (mostly because I needed to fill out the switch hole), I added a small LED light strip to the hood which gets power from the other switch on the compressor bracket and is only grounded when the hood opens (so it will turn off in case I forget to flip the switch.

So far the compressor and drain valve works. I'm wrapping up one final wire to finish the horn relay.

I cleaned out the EGR return tube just to see if my intake was as dirty as others I’ve seen here…. Needless to say, confirmed.

Painted the 41.22 hitch skid to match the hooks. Not a perfect match but way closer than the light tangerine color that it was prior to painting.
