@Rusty PW

when on the gas mileage screen press the left or right arrows on the left side of steering wheel. Happened in my 17' cherokee trailhawk. took me a moth to figure it out on accident one day when gf called and i hit the arrow by accident.
Been there, done that.

Today I started the Jeep for the first time after being away for work the last 5 months. I was expecting the batteries to be dead but surprisingly it started right up. It still has the factory batteries from 2022 with 36K miles on them though I do think its time to start looking for replacements.
To be safe - I still think I'd put a small charger on them as running/driving it won't get them fully charged - hate to see this success and then it leaves you along the road with a message "find a planet to orbit, we're dropping out of warp in 20 seconds" or something like that.

I would be shocked if ESS works right away.

Last night…installed the Diabolical rear locking underseat storage box.

IMG_2002.jpeg
I had thought about locking storage, but with all the stuff I have under and behind teh seats, I'd never get the lids closed and locked! Those look nice and with the hinges front, locks to the rear, harder to bust into.

After a long day of customer outages, deal with employee charge codes and team/personnel realignments....... mentally smoked. So had to grab a case of wine for the wife went to throw it in the back........I jammed the case into the door jam.

Good news, the whole team and myself are good because we all have numerous skill set that cross over to other businesses units.

So whiskey:30

Did a full Aux Battery delete mod this afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised to see the MOPAR main battery was a East Penn manufacture so hopefully this will exceed the 3 year average life span.

Third time doing this mod and practice makes perfect.

If I was closer, I'd grab that little battery from you for my alternator/wiper motor test bench.. (and even pay something for it)
The 12v battery I've been using is like 15 years old and just not up to snuff any more. All I need is one about the size of these small batteries.

That's what I plan on doing. Today I drove around for about an hour on the highway. After shutting it down back home I measured the combined battery voltage and it was 12.2v so I'm going to put my charger on it overnight and see what the voltage is tomorrow.

Nope I didn't get that lucky. After driving an hour today on the highway it still displays stop/start not ready but it doesn't give a reason why. I'm putting my battery charger on it overnight and hopefully that can top the batteries off.

12.2 is roughly 50% - I'd have to refer back to my chart on AGM batteries..... so still quite low but with a charger on it overnight, you should be fine.

Installed the Volant Oil Catch Can today. Fairly easy.

Cheers.

After my experience with Ford V10 Triton engines being so bad with blow-by and coating the intake with oil, and huge oil consumption, I had added a catch can to it with stellar results. Did the same with my JT back in December '21, and it's crazy how much the Pentastar has for blow-by also.
