It's off an airplane.
A very small one.

Frankly I’m disappointed that it wasn’t from the lower right hand corner of a 72 amc ashtray support.

I realized I’d forgotten to install the front skid when I took the pic I posted yesterday. I was so exhausted after dealing with all of this for weeks. I finished it up today and installed the front skid plate, re-installed the front passenger side wheelwell liner, and fixed the outer bumper pieces so they aren’t so shiny. I ran out of satin clear coat and used another satin clear coat on the second coat of the end pieces.

Ported and semi polished the JK lower manifold for my Gladdy. That was the only difference between JK and the JT

. So when I get a chance it a full on metal intake and oil cooler replacement, as well as valve cover gasket, coils, and spark plug replacement.

Two quite different engines (JK was the 3.6 version 1.0 while the JL and JT are the PUG) it's interesting to see that those parts remain interchangeable
Going full metal.

Wait what!!!? I must have more information. I hate the plastic intake. I want what you have.

The JK 3.6l has a metal intake? Even my 2008 JKU (3.8l/6 speed Rubicon) had a plastic intake.

It is a aftermarket thing for the pre-PUG Pentastar engines.

Any actual performance gain?
I have a "gut feeling" about it based on my experiences with performance V8s.

The appeal for me of certain aftermarket parts would be getting rid of plastic stuff.

Exactly! It’s bad enough that most of the interior is plastic, but there is waaay too much plastic under the hood getting heat cycled.

I am not up on that aspect. I just know it is a thing to replace the plastic lower intake with it since those are starting to age and become more of a problem.
