Finally got around to installing the rear seat covers.
Jeep Gladiator What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK] 20250710_090705

My father in law ordered ones for his Wrangler. I had already installed the front set before realizing he got a set for the Gladiator with rear armrest by mistake.
So I ordered the right ones and installed the rear in his Wrangler. Put the fronts in my Gladiator but held off on the rear. We have a dog that goes just about everywhere with us. So I was letting her finish off the rear set that was already in there.
We're headed out of town this weekend and might have ear passengers for a change. Decided it was time to put in the nice new clean set.
They are for a Gladiator with rear armrest and I don't have a rear armrest. But they will do just fine. Gonna order one of those rear seat dog hammack/covers to help keep it a bit cleaner back there.

And I had to pay a blood debt...

Mine has an armrest in the center of the rear seat. Britney uses it all the time.

I'm not positive, but I believe you get the rear armrest if you get leather seats. I have cloth seats and no rear armrest.

My brown leather '22 seats have been removed so long I don't remember for sure but I'm almost positive no arm rests. Hm.

Yeah, but at 88 the fireworks get really cool!

TRIVIA -
(the stock DeLorean speedometer only went to 85 so had to be modified for the film)
And this week was the 43rd anniversary of BTTF.

I’m off to see Superman tonight, on what would have been Joe Shuster’s 111th birthday.

On topic, installed a M.O.R.E dead pedal and it’s as annoyingly hard to get at the mounting points as I remember from my JL.

I also installed an AFE filter. Next steps are door hinge bushings. I might get my radio installed before wheeling Saturday.

The beer and little things are eating up time now. Working on brakes.

The woman went out on some errands and brought back one of my favorites. Hard times, man. Hard times.

I'll be throwing this 6 speed 8.3 liter Viper truck on the market here shortly as well, if anybody's interested... Dual 3", tuned, drag radials, racing clutch, 2/1 drop, intake, etc. 39k miles.

Finally just now set her back down on her legs, brakes bled, new diff fluid, etc. Street ready. Beer and stuff slowed me a bit.

Shoutout to @JTdiRtyD listening to his podcast. On board.
Also Piebald's We Are The Only Friends We Have is such a god damned good album, if you're into 90s/00s alt punk.

I finally grew a pair and ripped off the window tint strip from the windshield. The previous owner of my truck must've been much shorter than me.

I wish I had done this months ago. It was beyond annoying.

I also did some paint touch up, readjusted the doors-off mirrors, installed a glass screen protector and a cheap front under seat storage compartment, and grabbed a pair of used K-Source tow mirrors that I found on FBMP. It felt good to get outside and play with the truck for a bit.

I was as surprised as you. That's why I had put it off for months. There was one line left at the bottom, and it came off easily. It probably helped that I had just returned from a 40ish minute drive in the sun in 90+ degree temps.

Got a few more things knocked out this morning before I need to go to work.

Artec engine skid is on. ASFIR fuel filter skid is on. Rear diff cover is on.

I was not anticipating such a huge change in engine vibration transferred into the cab from the skid plate but certainly got it. I don't know if it's the harmonics of the rattly engine just bouncing back up into the cab off the aluminum or the fact the frame near the motor mounts is now tied into the cross member further back but it's a definite increase in NVH. Not a deal breaker but can't say I'm pleased by this discovery.
