An easy project today. Added a Hothead headliner to the Bestop Sunrider. I don't leave the top open for long intervals, so decided to risk having the nicer headliner fabric exposed. I will let you know next year if it fades in occasional use.

Install was very easy as demonstrated by their video. Looks very nice. The first thing both my wife and I noticed was that it really makes the top quieter. The noise never bugged me before, but we really noticed the difference.

Not sure about the reversibility factor. I think they over thought this one a little--my take is that most of those in a northern climate take off the Sunrider and replace it with the Freedom panels for the winter. Not flip over the headliner. Plus, if you flip it over, you have a couple strips of Velcro showing.

Went with black, but if they ever offer orange might reconsider ;)

I'm not positive, but I believe you get the rear armrest if you get leather seats. I have cloth seats and no rear armrest.
That’s accurate.

The beer and little things are eating up time now. Working on brakes.

The woman went out on some errands and brought back one of my favorites. Hard times, man. Hard times.

I'll be throwing this 6 speed 8.3 liter Viper truck on the market here shortly as well, if anybody's interested... Dual 3", tuned, drag radials, racing clutch, 2/1 drop, intake, etc. 39k miles.

I wish. That thing would be so fun. What are you asking?

I finally grew a pair and ripped off the window tint strip from the windshield. The previous owner of my truck must've been much shorter than me.

I wish I had done this months ago. It was beyond annoying.

I also did some paint touch up, readjusted the doors-off mirrors, installed a glass screen protector and a cheap front under seat storage compartment, and grabbed a pair of used K-Source tow mirrors that I found on FBMP. It felt good to get outside and play with the truck for a bit.
Yeah I had to take mine back from my wife so I could accomplish some maintenance on mine .

Got a few more things knocked out this morning before I need to go to work.

Artec engine skid is on. ASFIR fuel filter skid it is. Rear diff cover is on.

I was not anticipating such a huge change in engine vibration transferred into the cab from the skid plate but certainly got it. I don't know if it's the harmonics of the rattly engine just bouncing back up into the cab off the aluminum or the fact the frame near the motor mounts is now tied into the cross member further back but it's a definite increase in NVH. Not a deal breaker but can't say I'm pleased by this discovery.

How does it connect up under the front side of it? My skid connects at the back in a similar place. The front of mine actually connects to the bottom of the motor mount bolts and I get no vibes in the cab. Mine is also steel.

Some vibration dampener would help with that probably. It adds a little weight but if that’s a concern go for some 1mm type. If weight isn’t an issue and you really want to kill the vibes go for a 2mm and a decoupler under the carpet. You might forget it’s a Jeep if you go too extreme with it though.
I’ve used Second Skin in the past and am going to be using it in this new rig as well. Just got a box of the 2mm for my freedom panels off the big brown truck today.

Fuse holder (weather resistant) for something from ARB.
Similar to the fuse holders in my snow plow wiring.

More to the point it’s dual fuse holder for an ARB twin compressor. The search begins.

What is the cost on that, and time and difficulty for install? I'm in the land of Texas heat, and it gets hot, especially when it's hot, and that hot transfers a lot of heat, to the existing heat, making it really hot. I run the Sunrider 24/7 365 since early 2020 install.
K thx bye
