OK, you meant BENT or distorted. You are talking different joints/ends.

(I've bent parts, steering knuckles with a Ford, an axle on another vehicle, among other things - just not "Rock crawling".)

Trained tech myself, so I get how things work, and have years shop experience as well - I'm just more "methodical" than most.
yes if you bent an arm or spin the adjustable joint you can bring it back to acceptable caster and resolve the issue
however that may not even be it tossed ball joint bad trac bushing ... again when more eyes is better

I don't think we are that far apart, just different methodology, perhaps.
The issue is, at least to me - so few can actually "figure this stuff out" because they don't understand the geometry and physics behind it.

Oh. yeah, for sure.

Even when I farmed, it was almost a daily thing.
And formulas, odd-shaped field sizes, extending the frame out on my Case tractor.. Mostly past those days now.

That pic reminds me of our street rod group that gets together on Tuesdays (they say for coffee, but it's more for bullshitting). Each of our shops has a similar project going on.
Some might think they are a bunch of hacks just tossing stuff together, but some go to the salt flats each year with their builds and you'll hear them talk of steering and suspension geometry, Gene, my neighbor even talked about making a custom plate to mount my Javelin drum brakes on his 49 Ford and keep a "proper scrub radius". They ain't dummies.
Imagine one of them with a straight axle getting DW at some serious speed.

Well, I ran across some older medical records while cleaning out some papers and my ADHD is "impulsive type". Yeah, I have to agree. I think it, I do it or say it.
No whisky needed (but welcomed)

I’m just trying to hide the dust and dirt!! The desert makes a mess of EVERYTHING!!
Just being a smart ass. I used to tell a simular joke to people buying camo wash buckets when I worked at AAP.

And I def know how much of a mess the desert makes. I ran lost world in Moab with no doors with a group and I caked the dirt in the interior lol.

Exactly. Doesn’t help that it’s a black jeep with black interior.

The trip down everything was fine on the way back my JTM decided it wanted to partake in the Jeep life.

Nothing doing 70+ mph in the passing and and holy fuck, I'm a long for the ride lol; it was fuckin violent AF woke my 14yo son up from a dead sleep lol.

So I have still have the MC steering box to track bar reenforcement bracket to install. I added the MC Sector shaft bracket back a couple months ago and everything was cool until yesterday. Prior to the trip(like always) I checked and verified torque on everything and all was good.

I've had this truck to 13 different states up and down the east coast and almost 32k miles since new and never a problem.

So if y'all have ideas as the Jeep SMEs I'm all ears. Thanks in advance gents
Wozers!! Last year while driving I hit a small bump/dip at around 60mph, steering wobble and violent. I pulled over immediately and noticed one of the bolts on my FOX steering stabilizer backed out!! I added some lock tight and bolted the stabilizer again.

I have no idea what’s up with my vinyl wrap obsession, but I’m getting damn good at it.
Also, added the Epic Adventures overhead molle panel. Install wasn’t too bad, since I opted for 3m tape vs drilling. 🤭

Any issues with the 3M tape? I'm hoping to install my CROW this weekend, on the fence about drilling. Looks good man!

An easy project today. Added a Hothead headliner to the Bestop Sunrider. I don't leave the top open for long intervals, so decided to risk having the nicer headliner fabric exposed. I will let you know next year if it fades in occasional use.

Install was very easy as demonstrated by their video. Looks very nice. The first thing both my wife and I noticed was that it really makes the top quieter. The noise never bugged me before, but we really noticed the difference.

Not sure about the reversibility factor. I think they over thought this one a little--my take is that most of those in a northern climate take off the Sunrider and replace it with the Freedom panels for the winter. Not flip over the headliner. Plus, if you flip it over, you have a couple strips of Velcro showing.

Went with black, but if they ever offer orange might reconsider ;)

I have one of these also. The side you have facing down will fade quickly in the sun. I kept the marine layer out permanently because I don't want to mess with flipping in over and honestly, both sides look nice. It does cut down on noise and definitely helps keep the heat off of your head in the summer months. I'm glad I picked this up.

Be careful! One min you're trying to sit down in your truck, the next min you can't find your seat!
They must be plenty soft then 😂

no in a shop you do both then bring each back one at a time it is elimination, time is money
you well knew what i meant by shake down
With adjustable arms one rock can spin the adjusters and get it way from 6* of preferred caster (seen it happen tons )
I dont even need a rack or machine to do this myself I can do it with magnet pinion angle tools, string and a tape measure
if it take six guys to figure out death wobble you don't know what you are doing
Want to earn some extra cash walking me through a front end alignment?

Installed door cup holders. Haven't actually used the yet, but they seem ok. Drives side doesn't block the mirror but the passenger one blocks a little bit, but not enough to matter. The shorter you are the more it will block.

I also got some updates on the half rack enclosure. Panels are wrapped and test fit. I'll be picking up the revised rear door panel today after work. Should have it all finished up and installed by this weekend.

Also tested my battery box setup with the air comp. It works. The MORRFlate 10six PRO draws about 90amps on startup and 62-65amps consistently, with 62amps at 15psi and 65 at 35psi. Burned up about 7ah of battery to air up the 35s.

And now that I tested the batt box, I'm probably going to rip it all apart and mount it in the back seat area because this setup takes up more room in the bed than I would like. I never can make up my mind.
