Installed my new to me Fumoto valve when I changed my oil, thanks again @WILDHOBO ! And i changed my cabin air filter that was filthy from the cross country trip to and in Moab.

I wondered how people get their cabin filters so dirty and I finally (think) I figured it out.
Do you drive with your vents mostly drawing air from outside the cabin? I keep mine mostly on recirculate and the filter is usually pretty clean after a year of use.

I never thought to switch to recirculating on the trail. Great idea.

I will have to pay attention. I have the K&N now so I don't care how dirty they get since I can just clean them when necessary.

Getting ready for Great Smoky Mountains Jeep Invasion, a little overdue cleanup...
I use my sliders, so they had a couple scratches and some surface rust...

Used Iron Remover from Adams and a green scrub pad and got the surface rust to go away and that left recoating -

Paint is a quick dry graffiti rattle can - Montana Black

Replaced radiator. Well, paid a guy to replace radiator, $250. Job spec'd at 5hrs. Which means 10hrs for me. So, $250 seemed like a great idea for my time

Lol, I've used that front locker on my JL at least twice where it made the difference. But in 17 years with my JK Rubi, I don't think it was ever the difference maker. Just depends on what kinda mess you get yourself into. I think with so many years of off-road experience in the YJ and JK, I became a bit more brave....maybe too brave....with the JL. Which probably isn't that smart because the JL was, by far, the most expensive! LOL!

I use mine to minimize trail damage.

this weekend the Speedo hit 41,000 so I did my 7th oil change in the 1 year and 4 months of ownership (bought with 22 miles)

Good progress this week. Got the battery / electronics box fully assembled. I need to hit it with some. black touchup paint in few spots (Just cause the bare wood spots bug me). Got the fridge set in on the slider and got the inverter mounted. Waiting on a Blue Sea systems bus bar and then I just have to mount and wire up the Redarc Alpha 50, the Voswitch and clean up all the wire and I should be good to go! Hoping to have it all wrapped up this week sometime assuming UPS / USPS arrive on schedule. Getting close!!

Well in preparation for the arrival of my @Metalcloak baller joints I started the tear down today.......easy work thus far. Cleaning everything, chasing threads and copious amounts of automotive herpes aka antiseize.

Also, huge fuckin shout out to my man Dan aka @WILDHOBO for spending an hour on the phone giving my his experience installing the MC Baller Joints with his lessons learn. Dude, thank you.

A post w/o pics is lame ......so the current status of my JTM right now

Final note, the castle nuts were barely finger tight and only held in place with the cotter pins. Maybe check your, retorque and add new cotter pins ......truly unsat.
