. Anyone else finds it odd that virtually every serial killer ever was beaten as a child?
Being beaten - now we're talking something different than a couple of times early on. Yeah, they were indeed beaten, and the beatings were frequent, and for little crap and it went on over years.
No one here is talking about going to that point, or constant, frequent or even "violent" actual beatings.
You keep referring to beatings and excesses.

All I have ever had to do was raise my voice and the kids knew better. No beatings. Smash your Xbox and then make you earn every penny to buy a new one works plenty well. Sure it's more work and you have to be more consistent, but you can raise responsible and respectful children without beating them. What if I told you positive reinforcement has been proven to be more effective? Reward the right behavior while punishing the wrong behavior and even without violence they'll be just fine. Anyone else finds it odd that virtually every serial killer ever was beaten as a child? Sure in moderation and coupled with proper parenting it can be a tool but I'll still argue it's the easier way which is why it was so popular.
I think you'll appreciate this one -

When my first wife and I separated (it was all actually quite friendly, never any disagreements over anything except one piece of furniture we both wanted LOL) we were both totally in tune as far as the kids. Never any disagreements there about anything. Not that either of us ever would anyway, but there was never anything negative said about the other in earshot of the kids.
I went to pick the boys up at her apartment one evening so I'd have them for the weekend and she told them "go up and get your things" to which Luke replied "the f.... I will".
Sherri and I looked at each other with the looks of total shock and disbelief!
I looked at him, sitting there on the steps, and he said "I'll be upstairs in our room awaiting my punishment".
It was a talking to - he was afraid it was going to be worse, but we both in unison, had a good chat with him. He was maybe 6 or so, had picked it up at school (his mother has likely never uttered the word except in our bedroom LOL, so I KNEW it didn't come from there)
I think him seeing both of us, our reactions and instant agreement - and the looks we gave him (she could have a really stern, scary look, when upset)
Swats on the butt had long since ended by the time they were of an age where reason actually worked.

But even those excesses were socially acceptable in the middle of last century is my point. Everyone looked the other way even if they knew it was wrong because that was the father's choice in running his household. Not saying it was every parent. But it was fast too many and I'd argue far more than today as children know they can call cps. Wives no they can leave and take half/ child support/ alimony on the way out. But pretending it was a kinder time is ridiculous. You didn't need to whip your children early on, you chose to because it was easier and then make the excuse that they didn't turn out to be serial killers so it was ok. That's like arguing riding in the back of the truck was safe because we all did it and we are here... if we ignore those that didn't survive it? It still poses me off when I see a parent put hands on their child, especially in this day and age because if you are doing it in public you're probably beating the hell out of them behind closed doors. It still pisses me off just the same when I see the toddler standing on the back seat, not in a car seat, while the parents drive down the road.

For some, that's a lot easier said than done. There are support services and shelters for a reason. And some are convinced that "he'll change" or that they aren't good enough, or there's some reason or whatever.
My hatred of "wife beaters" is deep and includes psychological abuse.

Of course it does, but I'd argue it's far less. Between child abuse allegations being taken seriously and prosecuted regularly and the nearly 60% divorce rate women and children are far more protected these days. I'll take a society where people are good to their families and don't hold doors or wave at strangers over the opposite any day. Fake nice...or fake anything for that matter, doesn't impress me. We do both, as we raised our family to do. So do many others. But pretending society was better when women were treated as property and children were treated worse than I'd ever treat one of my dogs because you didn't have to lock your doors and people waved is wild.
Well, I will say this . Then I am done with this side topic.
I am sorry your neighborhood and maybe even family situation was crap.
Not everyone had to live that way. The End.

My neighborhood was great. Family was good too. The fact is that home violence was common and accepted in this country 50+ years ago. Pretend it was a kinder time by ignoring that fact if you want.

So for the second time I had to replace the Auxiliary Battery, the one I replaced was a dura last 200cca . Well this time I got a Napa 200cca in a group 14 . So hopefully this one last at least 3 yrs. Got up at 530 and went out about 630 had it done by 8am disconnected the negative and also the IBS (3rd time this week 😑😂) as @Minty JL says a post is lame without pics. The next to last pic after I started and the A 🔄 signal is gone.
One thing of note so I decided when I pulled the old one see what it did with the charger and the Son of a Gun was charged in that time it took to replace the Aux. Last pic is me charging the Aux all night long .

Today I installed my RedArc brake controller into Rogue Leader (2023 JTR). Pretty easy, overall, with the only issues being the removal of the 12v power (controller dial replaces it) and locating the factory brake controller pigtail (by far the most challenging part). Having done a ton of mods on my JKUR, I find the JT so much easier to work on!

Yeah, that's a good no-load voltage. Definitely. Will it hold a load? Can't say without a load test, but just looking at your post here - sounds good. Sitting 5 hours, still over 12.8, at least that bit sounds good.

I am of course going to have to get a load tester. I didn't even know this was a thing. My strengths are mechanical. Anything beyond unplugging and plugging back is mainly out of my realm of knowledge. I can however wire trailer lights. This load testing @ShadowsPapa can you suggest and particular product.

I know people love the cheap hand-held units but I prefer a real load test as I was taught to use.
So you either find an antique Sun unit or get something similar to this -

My antique stuff -
